Lunch & Learn Summer Series: Gerri Martin-Flickinger, CTO at Starbucks

  • What

Every week from June 30th - August 6th we’ll be hosting Lunch & Learn sessions featuring world-renowned industry experts in media, technology, non-profit, finance, e-commerce, and many more fields—JUST FOR INTERNS, STUDENTS, AND NEW GRADS LIKE YOU!

For those interested in a career in engineering, come learn from Gerri Martin-Flickinger, the Chief Technology Officer at Starbucks. Gerri has had an incredible career in technology and Information Security, holding roles like Chief Information Officer at Adobe and Verisign and McAfee, as well as Senior Leadership positions at Chevron. Gerri will share what it was like to go from a Computer Science study at Washington State University to CTO of one of the largest (and most known) companies in the world.

We understand things have changed and this is a time of uncertainty. Some students were unable to secure full-time jobs or internships and most internships are now completely virtual. We have seen an increased demand for content and learning opportunities on WayUp’s platform from students just like you. We know you want to keep growing professionally and take charge of your future so we decided to create these Lunch & Learns just for you
