    Job Description

    Visa’s Finance Development Rotation Program is designed to immerse you in the payments industry by placing you in a high-visibility role where you work alongside top Finance professionals to simultaneously grow your skills and Visa’s business. This is accomplished by taking on challenging projects and by being provided the training, guidance and feedback that’s necessary to drive impactful change.

    Participants will gain a wealth of hands-on experience through the opportunity to work in 4 different areas of the finance organization for 6 months each across a two-year period. The goal of this program is to develop future Finance leaders with cross-functional knowledge and experience.

    You will gain exposure across multiple areas of Finance through core rotations in Financial Planning & Analysis and Controllership, as well as opportunities to enhance Finance Business Partnership skills and explore other subject matter expert finance disciplines. Each rotation will include activities integral to the department, as well as an opportunity to lead or drive a project or workstream.

    The Program will also include a cohort capstone project presentation to Visa’s Finance Leadership focused on utilizing experience from rotations to drive measurable impact to address a specific organizational priority. In addition to the rotational experience, you will receive training & development, mentoring, networking and leadership exposure opportunities.

    Start date for the program will be late August 2021.

    Rotations

    Financial Planning & Analysis: FP&A develops conceptually sound, rigorous, and detailed understandings of all of the various elements that impact Visa’s P&L, with the goal of optimizing financial performance and delivering against financial goals. FP&A sits at the center of the broader finance team to help the CFO, leadership and board gain financial visibility and insights on the business. This is supported by core planning & analysis responsibilities, the ongoing drive to uncover new insights and suggest improvements.

    Controllership: Controllership is responsible for establishing Visa’s global accounting policies, providing technical accounting guidance to the business, processing accounting transactions globally and consolidating all Visa entities results. Controllership also issues Visa’s Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) filings, ensures the timely and accurate filing of local statutory financial statements and manages Visa’s SOX compliance program.

    Finance Business Partner: Finance Business Partners (FBPs) support various functions such as Marketing, Product, Technology among others. As an FBP, your work, whether it’s modeling to support a business case or track performance metrics, is used by business leaders to make decisions. In this rotation you will have the opportunity to shape and influence budgets, forecasts and investment strategies in support of strategic imperatives and Visa’s strategic goals.

    **Expert: **Expert functions are in-depth Finance functions including Global Sourcing, Global Treasury, Investor Relations, Client & Merchant Deals, and more. A rotation in one of these functions will not only be an immersive experience in the specifics of the function but will also provide a cross functional view in how these unique functions interact with and support the broader finance and business community.

  • Qualifications

    Basic Qualifications:

    • Currently pursuing a MBA Degree with a graduation date between December 2020 - August 2021, and at least two years work experience.
    • Permanent authorization to work in the U.S. is a precondition of employment for this position. Visa will not sponsor applicants for work visas in connection with this position.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • B.S. or B.A. in a technical field (Accounting, Finance, Economics, Engineering, etc.)
    • 3-5 years of professional experience with progressively increasing responsibility
    • Experience in Fortune 1000 technology, financial services or manufacturing firm preferred
    • Highly articulate and influential written and verbal communication skills
    • Ability to apply relevant financial theory and analysis for valuing alternatives
    • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and ability to work both independently and on cross functional teams
    • Collaboration and leadership skills for the development, coordination, implementation and satisfactory completion of a deliverable
    • Highly proficient with MS Excel and MS PowerPoint
    • Comfortable with rapidly changing environment and reprioritization of tasks

    Work Hours:

    Incumbent must make themselves available during core business hours.

    Physical Requirements

    This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers, and reach with hands and arms.

    Travel

    This position requires the incumbent to travel for work 0-5% of the time
