THE ADVENTURE

We are looking for Sophomore or Junior college students to join GE Appliances, a Haier Company (GEA). The GE Appliances Contract Marketing intern position will be an integral part of the contract marketing team by supporting customer events, sponsorships and developing marketing materials that help our sales team find, quote and win business. This role will also assist in managing day to day operations for the marketing team as well as other special projects as needed. Upon graduation you could be considered to interview for our Sales Commercial Development Program. The Sales Commercial Development Program (CDP) is a leadership program designed to provide employees with experience in both Retail and Contract sales channels while building a cross-functional network.

WHAT YOU WILL LEARN & DO

• Assist with the development, execution and ROI tracking of Authorized Builder Distributor (ABD) showcase customer events including event branding and onsite management
• Work directly with key customers across all Contract customer channels to ensure websites accurately represent our Brands and include the most up-to-date information
• Support planning and coordinating of all HQ customer meetings and events
• Support trade advertising campaign and development of marketing materials; manage various print and digital campaigns working directly with ad agency.
• Act as point person for organizing all marketing assets in a centralized location. Maintain and publish the Contract Marketing calendar.
• Coordinate selection and ordering of tradeshow swag and giveaways, ensuring brand integrity.
• Manage the purchase order process and payments for marketing team.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Pursuing bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Management or related discipline.
• Must be currently enrolled in a college or university in a full-time undergraduate program with a minimum GPA of 3.0.
• Ability to work flexible hours ranging from 20-40/week (ideally full time in summer) school schedule dependent
• Must have at least 12 months of education remaining before graduation

Most positions are located in Louisville, KY (our Corporate HQ). Assignments are also available in Camden, SC; Decatur, AL; LaFayette, GA; Selmer, TN. Housing and relocation assistance is available for eligible students.
