Specifically, you will work with a dynamic and cross-functional team building behavior-changing digital learning solutions for clients from our Chicago-based digital learning Center of Excellence, EY NogginLabs. You will learn, grow and contribute — building new relationships and discovering the satisfaction that comes with producing high-quality, valued work and advice.

    What to expect

    As a Junior Multimedia Designer, you will work closely with other PAS professionals to deliver exceptional client service on a variety of digital training engagements. Junior Multimedia Designers are proficient in UI design, HTML/CSS and animation creation. At this level, you will work under the supervision of more senior designers but will work independently on specific tasks.

    Your key responsibilities

    • Design custom mood boards, wireframes, interface mock-ups and detailed screen mock-ups per client engagement
    • Follow guideline documents to keep design decisions in accordance with client branding
    • Collaborate with project managers and instructional designers to foster a successful alignment between the instructional approach and visual design direction
    • Discuss technical parameters of mock-up designs with software architects and adhere to any technical specifications
    • Create HTML/SCSS that is compatible in Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Microsoft Edge and Internet Explorer 11
    • Review own SCSS and perform preliminary cross-browser testing to fix any larger bugs quickly
    • Make certain that design and front-end production is mobile-compatible and works across any browser size
    • Write and comment clear DRY SCSS that is easily maintainable and flexible to varying amounts of text
    • Make certain that all course element designs are considered, including: hover states, correct/incorrect feedback elements and animated elements
  • Qualifications

    To qualify for the role, you must have

    • Progress towards a bachelor’s or associate degree that EY deems relevant to this position (this can range from graphic design, art or multimedia design to programming)
    • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, with internal teams and clients
    • Ability to clearly articulate design decisions, suggestions and feedback
    • Exemplary organizational skills
    • Strong self-motivation to learn new programs and skills on the job
    • Capacity to take direction well but also ability to make decisions and take initiative
    • Impressive portfolio with a proven track record in designing for the web

    Ideally, you’ll also have

    Experience using Adobe After Effects or Premiere Pro to combine on-screen text, images and vector graphics timed with narrator audio and music
