    Janssen BioTherapeutics is searching for an energetic, highly motivated POSTDOCTORAL FELLOW to carry out development of novel formulation and delivery processes for autologous and allogeneic CAR T and NK cell therapy for oncology.  Present CAR-T cell immunotherapies show impressive clinical responses, with three CAR-T cell products approved by the FDA for the treatment of malignancies, and allogeneic therapies are following this exciting route with a goal to make cell therapy scalable and accessible for everyone in need.

    Through exploring and leveraging new insights this postdoctoral fellow will:

    • Conduct research and development activities to design optimal formulation and delivery processes of allogeneic cell therapy products as well as lenti- and adenoviruses that are yet unexplored, and define the parameters for building the best-in-class cell therapy drug products;
    • Design and implement analytical methods with sufficient sensitivity to characterize cell therapy products as well as lenti/adenoviral products;
    • Be rewarded with an excellent opportunity to interact with various teams focused on cutting-edge engineered cell therapy platform development;
    • In addition, upon completion of the postdoctoral program, the Fellow will acquire valuable career experience that enables entry into process and product development field, biotech-related opportunities, and/or continued development in large pharma.
  • Qualifications
    • Recent Ph.D. in Immunology with a strong background in iPSC, T cell, NK cell and/or other immune cells biology is required.
    • Experience with NK cell biology is preferred.
    • A working background in T cell biology with hands on experience in primary immune cell biology and cell-based assay development is required.
    • A working experience with computational tools to analyze Flow cytometry is preferred.
    • A working experience in lenti- or adenovirus generation is preferred.
    • Candidates must display an ability to independently design and execute research;
    • In addition to a broad knowledge of immunology and oncology, we are seeking an individual with deep intellectual curiosity and excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
    • Candidate must be able to work permanently in the US.
