THE CHALLENGE

GE Appliances is looking for a dynamic Marketing or Business student for an internship with the Retail Air Conditioning (RAC) Commercial team. The RAC team is driving growth across all of its product segments through focused initiatives across all channels. This assignment will give you an opportunity to work with a team solving marketing, merchandising and commercial challenges. In this role, the intern will work on multiple marketing and merchandising assignments.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Conduct market research as assigned by the Commercial Director on market trends and present findings
• Assist with product merchandising, customer meetings and presentations and commercial communications
• Research online web and media presence and provide recommendations for online strategy
• Participate in brainstorming session for marketing campaigns
• Support the product, merchandising and training managers on other administrative tasks related to creating effective selling stories, tools and materials

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

• Must be currently enrolled in a college or university in a full-time undergraduate or graduate program with a minimum GPA of 3.0
• Passionate about Marketing or Product Management
• This is a remote assignment - you can live and work from anywhere in the United States
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
• Excellent Interpersonal & team skills
• Strong presentation skills and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to effectively multi-task
• Self-starter; demonstrated excellence in time management, planning and detail management

Most positions are located in Louisville, KY (our Corporate HQ). Assignments are also available in Camden, SC; Decatur, AL; LaFayette, GA; Selmer, TN. Housing and relocation assistance is available for eligible students.
