YOUR JOB

As a Quality Assurance Automation Engineer you will work with product and engineering teams to plan and deliver robust, scalable platforms for enterprise consumption. You personally drive confidence in every release having high-availability across every endpoint.  Your investigation & adoption of new technologies and methodologies lead to consistent improvements in both engineering delivery and service reliability.

You are obsessed with customer satisfaction.  You are excited to work on platforms upon which entire business divisions are built.  Mastering complex systems is something you enjoy.  The ability to cruise the full tech stack-- from microservices through MongoDBs to hosting-- is both challenging and exhilarating. And you are in QA, so you like to see how things break!

You will collaborate with Developers and System Reliability Engineers to effect non-functional Quality Assurance of business-critical services.  Your focus will be on reliability, availability, and scalability via both testing and process improvements.  While much of your focus will be on service performance testing, your efforts will also include both shift-left and shift-right engagements.  Your goal is to ensure service robustness prior to deploys, and then objectively verify production service quality.  You will need to work with product managers and operations engineers to define specific measures of quality, and then provide the required instrumentation to assess progress toward quality goals. As a Quality Assurance Automation Engineer you are empowered to provide insight and make recommendations throughout the SDL.  Your customer-centricity drives you to make the right data-driven decisions for the highest ROI.  You are someone with high standards who will push us to be better, and who will take pride in Indeed like we do.

WHO YOU ARE

• 5+ years experience with all phases of software testing including test planning, performance/load/stress testing, and designing test architecture
• Experience applying load testing tools (Locust, JMeter, Gatling) in QA, pre-Prod and canary environments
• Demonstrated programming skills in or other OOD syntax
• Experience testing API and database levels of a product or application
• Ability to deliver detailed roadmaps and quality-of-service reports
• Experience with working in a Agile environment and driven testing culture
• Prior success as an individual QA Engineer embedded within a product team
• B.S. in or related area, or relevant work experience

SALARY RANGE DISCLAIMER

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Indeed salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Indeed's total compensation package for employees.
