    YOUR JOB

    The Voice of Customer (VOC) team collaborates with partners across Indeed to deliver product, process, and training improvements based on the client feedback combined with internal analysis.

    As a researcher on the Voice of Customer (VOC) team, you will plan and execute quantitative research to drive insights for cross-functional product teams informing long-term strategy. You will develop the quantitative research pipeline, using methods such as surveys and experiments, for Indeed’s customer research community teaming with our client success, sales, product, and marketing teams. Your research will help define product development roadmaps, recommendations to address key drivers of customer satisfaction and improve business performance metrics, applying rigorous statistical and analytical methodologies to support your conclusions.

    An ideal candidate is passionate about research and collaboration, and able to communicate research findings in a clear and compelling way.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Execute all phases of quantitative research

    • Collaborate with UX, product, engineering, marketing, and client success to develop a quantitative research pipeline schedule to keep the customer research community participating and engaged

    • Develop surveys and quantitative metrics in collaboration with cross-functional team members to baseline current state and provide meaningful signals for measuring improvement in experiences over time

    • Build and/or oversee the creation of report dashboards, PowerPoint or Google Slides decks, crosstabs, charts, and other deliverables that support our clients’ understanding of survey results

    • Framing business questions into appropriate research questions and methods

    • Identifying trends and solidify the strategic direction of product and services development

    • Program and manage surveys with an online customer community.

    • Statistical analysis including summary statistics, predictive modeling, MaxDiff and other choice-based modeling

    • Analyze and interpreting results, writing reports, and presenting actionable recommendations

    • Impact executive decision makers through excellent storytelling using clear and concise visualizations

    • Serve as one of VOC’s statistical experts to ensure our methodologies are rigorous and support our conclusions

    WHO YOU ARE

    • Graduate degree in a quantitative field such as UX, MS in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, quantitative social science, or a closely related field is preferred

    • Minimum of 3 years of professional industry experience in Data Science, Business Analytics, Market Research, UX or Data Analysis

    • Intellectually curious with a passion for research

    • Have high Emotional Intelligence and are great team player

    • Strong communication and collaboration skills

    • Professional experience conducting quantitative research, including working with stakeholders to translate business questions into research briefs

    • Experience with customer/user panels or user experience testing

    • Able to program surveys and experiments into online tools and platforms, and building and/or pulling data using SQL

    • Have experience with survey quality control, including designing surveys to reduce common sources of bias, identifying and eliminating poor quality responses, speeders, straight-liners, etc.

    • Experience coding in Python, R, or another advanced, open-source data analysis programming language. SPSS, Sawtooth are a plus.

    • Experience with longitudinal and cohort analysis, segmentation methods 

    • Deep understanding of designing and implementing A/B tests, and advanced extensions, MaxDiff and Conjoint Analysis 

    • Able to communicate research results in a concise, engaging and visual way for both technical and non-technical audiences

    • Be prepared to manage or mentor 1-2 research methods & analytics team-members as the team grows

    Preferred:

    • Graduate degree with advanced coursework in statistics, applied research design, social science research methods, user research or related skills

    • Prior experience managing and/or conducting research with an online research panel or community

    • Prior work within a top-tier consulting firm a plus

    • Experience with self-service survey tools such as Qualtrics, and data presentation tools such as Tableau

    • Experience with B2B research

    The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Indeed salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance.
