As the world’s number 1 job site, our mission is to help all people get jobs. Indeed needs dedicated, passionate people working together across teams and products to make this happen.
We are a rapidly-growing, fast-paced, highly-capable User Experience (UX) team building the most popular job site in the world. We help employers make extraordinary hires with the world's largest employment platform. We work in Seattle, San Francisco, Austin, Tokyo, the UK and Hyderabad, collaborating with Product Managers and Engineering to deliver simple solutions to the real-world problems that job seekers and employers face hiring and getting hired. Most importantly, our team is encouraged to deliver results and be able to demonstrate the impact our changes have on our business.
We are looking for a Quantitative User Experience Researcher with strong skills in behavioral data analysis, experiment design, survey research, statistical analysis, and human-computer interaction. You will collaborate with cross-functional team members to define and prioritize research and to develop UX metrics. You will design and conduct empirical research, and you will code, clean, visualize and analyze Indeeds’ vast stores of data using statistical methods in order to understand and extract meaningful patterns of user behavior. Your research will generate user experience insights that will move our products forward.
Your primary responsibilities include:
Build relationships and collaborate with product teams to define and prioritize high-impact research to improve user experience
Define and develop quantitative UX goals and metrics in collaboration with cross-functional team members

Extracting themes and patterns from unstructured verbatims using Natural Language Processing and Sentiment Analysis techniques
Design and conduct studies that address both user behavior and attitudes
Develop statistical models to understand user experience
Drive change by communicating research findings that are convincing and actionable for both research experts and non-experts
Collaborate closely with qualitative researchers to create holistic narratives and compelling stories through the synthesis of several data streams, marrying both quantitative and qualitative data
Work cross-functionally with design, product management, content strategy, engineering, behavioral science, and marketing
Analyze complex experiments and recommend clear actions with supporting evidence
Improve Indeed’s ability to measure broad impact of changes beyond local effects (i.e., effect on whole flow vs just current page)
Socialize and teach quantitative concepts and frameworks to teams through presentations, workshops, and other forms of knowledge sharing and collaboration
WHO YOU ARE

Demonstrated ability to apply quantitative methods to real-world customer challenges in a business environment
Expertise in survey design and analysis
Ability to determine and execute the right research method for the question at hand, including the ability to recognize when to partner with qualitative researchers
Strong experimental design and/or A/B testing skills; you understand how to plan, execute, and analyze experiments in a statistically rigorous way
Demonstrated ability to analyze and visualize quantitative data
Strong communication skills and comfort interacting with and influencing stakeholders in varied roles and at varied levels of the organization
Familiarity with survey design and analysis, including experience in self-service survey programming tools (like Qualtrics, Decipher, or SurveyMonkey)
Preferred qualifications
