ABOUT THE TEAM 

SAP Litmos was founded in an effort to create a learning management system (LMS) that was quick to set up, easy to manage, and fun to use.  

You’ll be interning for SAP Litmos’ Customer Training Team. Our team’s primary focus is to create fun and engaging training content that pumps up our customers and keeps them up to date with the latest and greatest platform features. We designed and built an online learning portal playfully known as the Litmos Dojo using our very own platform.

The idea is that customers can learn how to use Litmos while, well, using Litmos! The Dojo is a Litmos instance aimed to help our customers stay up to date on the latest product enhancements, pick up some training best-practices, and finally rank up to the level of Litmos Black Belt. The Customer Training team has created a wide library of SCORM courses that document every function and feature of the SAP Litmos Training platform. 

Even with our many years of growth, our commitment to being the world’s easiest-to-use LMS is why we have over 22 million users in more than 130 countries and 28 languages use the solution and the online training courses we provide. 

Our team aims to deliver amazing experiences to our customers, we are looking for someone who values a customer-first mindset. Our Instructional Designer Intern would join our team and help rebuild our current platform training courses with our newly released Litmos Content Author tool. In addition to that, we will also need help creating content for live webinars and virtual training events.

WHAT YOU’LL DO: 

Position title: SAP Litmos iXp Intern – Instructional Designer  

Location: San Ramon, CA - please note that the role will be remote until local guidelines ensure safe office re-opening

Expected start date to end date: May 17, 2021, November 17, 2021 

IN THIS ROLE, YOU’LL: 

• The primary responsibilities of the SAP Litmos Instructional Design Intern are to migrate and rebuild courses created with Articulate Rise 360 to SAP Litmos Training’s native Content Author tool. This is the final step of bringing our product training resources 100% in-house, teaching Admins how to use Litmos with Litmos.  
• Beyond this content rebuild process, we’ll also need help creating new training content that covers our product updates with every major quarterly release. 
• Added responsibilities may include content QA’ing AND helping with customer training requests 
• Work with the customer training team to help build a library of 60+ courses with SAP Litmos Native Content Author Module 
• Write clean, effective and human-sounding instructional text for courses, and audio/video transcripts 
• Capture high quality platform screenshots and recordings for courses 
• Maintain and adhere to a set course release schedule, ensuring all courses are completed and published by their due dates 
• Review training content for spelling errors 
• Contribute to creative process when building customer training

WHO YOU ARE: 

We’re looking for someone who takes initiative, perseveres, and stay curious. You like to work on meaningful innovative projects and are energized by lifelong learning. 

• 0-1 years of instructional design experience, more is fantastic 
• Attention to detail is critical - Looking for a candidate with experience supplying QA (Quality Assurance), finding typos and grammatical hiccups across course content 
• Experience working with SCORM (Sharable Courseware Object Reference Model) files, using Articulate Rise or Storyline is a plus 
• Experience with Camtasia, or desktop recording software 
• Experience with SAP Litmos platform would be a huge plus. However, experience is not needed, as platform training will be provided in the first week 
• Understanding of how to use graphic design software (Adobe Suite, Figma, Sketch) not needed, but would be a big plus 
• Passion for customer engagement and eLearning
