  • Responsibilities
    • Serving as a leader in the school while building strong relationships with students and their families to support scholars’ academic success;
    • Conducting psycho-educational evaluations, including cognitive and academic achievement testing, and providing high-quality counseling sessions for scholars with IEPs and at-risk scholars;
    • Creating, implementing, and tracking behavior intervention plans for students with behavioral needs;
    • Leading crisis management for scholars in need of this support; and
    • Engage in the school-based support team to ensure student progress through the right supports and interventions.

    • Specialize in School Psychology
    • Hold a valid NY State School Psychologist certification (or be prepared to acquire one)
    • Preferred experience with a variety of psycho-educational and behavioral assessment tools;
    • Preferred to have background in counseling and crisis management;
    • Are a person of high moral character
    • Are passionate about learning

    $65k

    • You will be eligible to enroll in our benefits plan - we offer medical and dental through Cigna as well as vision through VSP.
    • You are also eligible to enroll in our 403b retirement plan (which is like a 401K for non-profits) and we offer up to a 3% match
    • In terms of paid time off, you will share the same schedule during the academic year as our teachers (which accounts for about 24 days during the school year, including statutory holidays, about a week for Thanksgiving, a week for winter break and a week for spring break).
    • In addition, you will be given 5 personal days per fiscal year that you can use throughout the academic year. These do not roll over, so make sure to use them!
    • You will also have 15 days off during the summer, or approximately 3 weeks after school closes in June. Summer training institute usually begins early to mid July.
