    If you are an engineer who's passionate about building impactful products that scale to tens of millions of page views a day, Indeed is looking for you.     Responsibilities:

    • Write software to fulfill well-specified, small-scoped work requests for your team's product(s), escalating more complex or ambiguous issues to senior engineers.

    • Write software to fix simple bugs.

    • Assist in investigating problems and recommending fixes for products within your team.

    • Utilize knowledge of programming languages and the software ecosystem to accomplish goals.

    • Provide feedback within your team regarding code changes made by other engineers and regarding designs for new enhancements.

    • Produce documentation for your team’s products, code, and work items. Grow your skills and knowledge learning from mentors, reading books or online resources, or by observing your co-workers applying their skills and knowledge.

    WHO YOU ARE

    • Bachelor’s degree required in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Mathematics or equivalent field required

    • 1 year of work experience in software programming. Experience must include at least one of the following languages: Java, C, C++, C#, Python, Go, or Perl

    • 1 year of work experience building applications using at least one of the following:

    • Web application technologies including: HTML, CSS, or JavaScript; or

    • Databases, including MySQL, Mongo, or a similar program; or

    • A collection of systems connected and communicating via a network connection.

We help build and maintain analytics tools used weekly by most Indeedians, guide Indeed’s cloud infrastructure strategy and keep the website up and running, and finally offer secure login, payment, and communication systems for job seekers and employers.

    SALARY RANGE DISCLAIMER

    The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Indeed salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Indeed's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include quarterly bonuses, Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), an open Paid Time Off policy, and many region-specific benefits.
