    SALARY RANGE

    US Remote 94,000 - 130,000 USD per year

    YOUR JOB

    As a DevOps Engineer, you will play an important part in the decision making, architecture, and implementation of new and next generation learning solutions. You will engage and collaborate with all partner programs and projects to deliver on all the partner integration needs to be successful. You will also lead and design integration solutions between various platforms that are a part of our learning and HR ecosystems.

    This role is eligible for hybrid or fully remote, based on candidate's preference.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    DESIGN & IMPLEMENT

    • Scope and design integration solutions to meet connectivity needs of learning platforms and tools with other business platforms.

    • Lead implementation on integration projects including but not limited to FTP, API, xAPI, and LTI connections.

    • Identify stakeholder and business needs to support the prioritization of implementation projects and requests. 

    • Implement development tools and infrastructure.

     PROCESS DEVELOPMENT

    • Design, develop, and document processes for deploying updates, fixes, and monitoring learning tool performance.

    • Automate and improve development and release processes.

    • Build tools and solutions to reduce occurrences of errors and improve learner experience.

    DATA/SYSTEM INFRASTRUCTURE MANAGEMENT

    • Ensure that systems are safe and secure against cybersecurity threats.

    • Define and monitor key indicators to track operating system quality and performance in partnership with internal departments.

    PROJECT MANAGEMENT

    • Ensure that integration projects meet business requirements and goals, fulfill end-user requirements, and identify and resolve systems issues.

    • Manage technical projects to ensure that deliverables are met and tasks are completed on schedule.

    • Work with software developers and software engineers to ensure that development work follows established processes and works as intended.

    • Prioritize support requests based on implementation complexity, impact, client tier level, and other identified criteria defined by team leadership.

    • Work with cross-functional partners and stakeholders to implement required changes for new and existing system integrations.

    • Participate in on-going process improvement projects, working closely with the team and department leader on selected process automation projects.

    INTEGRATION MANAGEMENT

    • Identify, investigate, and resolve technical issues affiliated with learning platform and tool integrations.

    • Test and examine code written by others and analyze results.

    ABOUT YOU.

    KNOWLEDGE:

    • Understand how to design API connections between multiple tools

    • Experience with encoding and decoding JSON data

    • Experience with JSON API development

    • Experience with HTTP response codes

    • Advanced hands-on experience with learning systems and SaaS learning solutions

    • Experience in configuring FTP applications, API integrations, and have working knowledge of xAPI and LTI connections

    • Experience using JIRA or other project management tools

    • Experience in writing, analyzing, and tuning well-performing TSQL queries

    • Strong knowledge of C# (or Java), Web API, REST, Micro Services

    • Strong Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) skills

    • Strong written and oral communication skills

    • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills

    • Keen interest or aptitude in the learning experience

    • Knowledge of SQL

    Experience:

    • 3+ years of related experience

    • 2+ years experience with AWS: EC2, ECS, RDS, Lambda, API solutions

    • 1+ years experience in LMS administration

    • Demonstrated experience of databases and SQL

    • Problem-solving attitude

    • Experience working in Agile development methodology and iterative development cycles

    • Great team member that seeks to work with and for others.

    • Ability to handle highly confidential information and treat employee data with the highest discretion
