    THE OPPORTUNITY

    As the Sr. Manager of the Product Marketing team, you will be responsible for the overall GTM strategy of Xactly's Intelligent Revenue Platform. We are seeking an energetic and motivated team leader who is passionate about product marketing in the hi-tech industry. In this role you will also be leading the product marketing team in their expertise about buyers, customers, their buying criteria, and transfering that knowledge to the sales channel. Attention to detail and an eye for quality, along with the ability to grasp and translate technical capabilities into benefits is crucial. Core writing and presentation skills, messaging, thought leadership and attention to detail are very important.

    THE TEAM

    Xactly Product Management is a lively, tight-knit team consisting of Product Managers, Product Marketers, Transformation and User Experience professionals. We are the innovative forward thinkers of the product, always collaborating and striving to discover the best solutions for our users.

    THE RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Team Leadership and Management:
      • Directly manage Product Marketing and Market Intelligence team members
      • Engage in leadership discussions and ensure team alignment
      • Drive improvements in process and quality
    • GTM Strategy:
      • Develop an overall business GTM strategy for Xactly's Intelligent Revenue Platform
      • Work with product and marketing teams to set, monitor, and achieve financial and market objectives, including TAM, competitive analysis, target markets and persona definition, messaging/positioning, and content creation
    • Messaging & Positioning:
      • Develop differentiated product positioning and messaging, value props, use cases, and associated content to be leveraged by global Sales and Marketing teams
      • Ensure product/solution messaging is accurate and compelling, both internally and externally
      • Be the expert on our buyers personas; how they buy and their buying criteria
    • Enablement:
      • Be the subject matter expert, helping to develop and deliver sales playbooks, tools, and materials for the global sales teams
      • Work directly with Sales Enablement to ensure ongoing education of the sales team
      • Collaborate with marketing teams to ensure top of funnel success (e.g., demand generation, content marketing, events, webinars, AR/PR)
  • Qualifications

    THE SKILL SET:

    • 5+ years of experience in Product Marketing
    • Management experience strongly preferred
    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred
    • Excellent writing skills and communication skills with high comfort level speaking on webinars, conferences, and industry events
    • Strong knowledge of messaging/positioning hi-tech, SaaS and cloud topics
    • Critical thinking to help with analysis of business, market and competitive trends
    • Demonstrated history of creating standard GTM deliverables such as GTM strategy plans, pitch decks, sales playbooks, and marketing messaging for blogs, social, emails, etc.
    • Be self-motivated and able to set own direction while leading a team
    • Be inquisitive about the market and emerging trends
    • Influence and manage multiple stakeholders across diverse backgrounds including executives

    WITHIN ONE MONTH, YOU'LL

    • Get your bearings and begin to build a strong foundation, upon which to grow

    • Build relationships with internal business partners including Product Management, Marketing, and Sales

    • Gain a strong understanding of Intelligent Revenue Platform space and the business challenges Xactly solves

    WITHIN THREE MONTHS, YOU'LL

    • Have a strong understanding of the business, and begin teaching us a thing or two we don't know
    • Lead the Product Marketing team through initiatives such as product positioning, product launches, and GTM Enablement

    WITHIN SIX MONTHS, YOU'LL

    • Begin to implement the vision for change/impact that you have been developing over the past 6-months
    • Be seen as a well-versed, trusted business-advisor and expert, making a significant positive impact company-wide

    WITHIN TWELVE MONTHS, YOU'LL

    • Become a thought leader in the industry with customers, analysts and press
    • Identify further personal education opportunities to increase your business and instructional acumen

    Pay range: $125,000 - $150,000 + Semi-Annual Bonus Final pay determinations, salary ranges and pay increases are established by the employer. The ranges are an estimate based on potential employee qualifications, operational needs, and other considerations permitted by law. They are based upon a combination of local industry benchmarks, budget, experience, and internal comparisons.
