We are looking for an engineer who's passionate about empowering innovation by making our data platforms easy for others to use, provide reliable performance and are resilient to various failure modes. The scope of this role spans the entire lifecycle of our underlying data persistence technologies.

This opportunity provides the chance to work with and learn an amazing area of technology and services. For example, AWS Aurora, MongoDB, MongoDB Atlas, Kafka, SQS, RabbitMQ, RDS, and ElasticSearch. Ideally you will feel at home in the AWS services ecosystem, and managed services. You will experience building infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD pipelines and use tools like Datadog, Cloudwatch, and Jira. Develop capabilities in advising on and providing high quality architectural designs, and selection of technology based on the problems space. Common languages include Java, Python, and Terraform.

WHO YOU ARE

REQUIREMENTS

• BS degree in Computer Science, related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

• Experience writing code in Java, Go, Shell, Perl, Python, or a similar language.

• Experience in data structures, algorithms, and software design.

• Ability to debug, optimize code, and automate routine tasks.

• Strong interest in SRE topics like SLOs, resilience, scaling, performance, and more.

SALARY RANGE DISCLAIMER

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Indeed salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Indeed's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include quarterly bonuses, Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), an open Paid Time Off policy, and many region-specific benefits.
