    The Job Seeker Profile team is responsible for the creation and management of personalized information about job seekers. With this information we aim to help support better matching of employers and opportunities to candidates as they search for jobs. 

    One of our more prominent products, Resume Builder, is used by jobseekers users around the world to create over 200,000 quality resumes every day. This product is built using the latest frontend technologies like React and GraphQL, along with integrating with popular back end technologies like Kafka and MongoDB. We are frequently performing A/B tests across our products to determine how to create an easier and more meaningful experience for our users. While we have already built some great systems, we have many more to build in order to support our future goals.

    WHO YOU ARE

    Responsibilities:

    • As a Staff Software Engineer in the Profile JSR Experience team, you will build software that helps job seekers manage and improve their profiles to increase their chances of landing a job on Indeed.

    • You will architect and build complex frontend applications and collaborate on GraphQL and API designs to represent job seekers across multiple surfaces on our Indeed ecosystem

    • You will join a collaborative team of extremely talented Engineers, UX designers, and Product Managers. We constantly dig into the data available at Indeed to analyze, inform and develop solutions to the right problems. If looking at data, slicing and dicing it in multiple ways and coming up with interesting insights is something you thrive upon, you will fit right in.

    • Mentorship of senior and junior engineers will be part of your day to day in the form of code and technical design reviews. You’ll have the opportunity to help drive the technical direction of a large organization that supports and has an impact on millions of people.

    • Bachelor’s degree required in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Mathematics or equivalent field required

    • 5+ years experience programming with at least one of the following languages:, JavaScript, Java,

    • 3+ years of experience building full-stack applications with React and Redux

    • GraphQL and Apollo experience is preferred

    • 3+ years of experience mentoring more Junior Engineers

    • Significant experience with large scale, high-performance applications

    SALARY RANGE DISCLAIMER

    The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Indeed salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Indeed's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include quarterly bonuses, Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), an open Paid Time Off policy, and many region-specific benefits.
