    Johnson & Johnson Robotics and Digital Solutions (RAD) is recruiting for a Mechanical Engineering and Robotics Summer 2021 Intern, located in Santa Clara, California.

     

    The System Verification Engineering Intern will be responsible for developing, supporting, and maintaining tools and processes used for formal V&V activities. This is a hands-on engineering role which touches on a broad variety of engineering disciplines required for formal testing of a complex surgical robotic system, including electrical, mechanical, and software.

     

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Design and/or develop diagnostic tools and fixtures used for formal V&V activities
    • Support tool and test fixture development
    • Execute Test Protocols
    • Support Test Protocol development
    • Development and support of test scripts
    • Review design specifications
  • Qualifications

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCES:

    • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program and an Engineering major
    • Class standing of a Sophomore or above in May of 2021
    • Experience protocol writing, execution, and report writing
    • Ability to understand, debug, and modify software

     

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCES:

    • Previous internship in Medical Device Industry with hands-on technical experience
    • Proficiency in a scripting language (Python, Matlab, C++, C#)
    • Mechanical design experience (3D CAD modeling software)
    • Strong communication skills
