    WEX Inc. seeks a Technical Project Lead (Project Manager) to work in Portland, Maine. The Technical Project Lead (Project Manager) plans, coordinates, and manages information technology (IT) projects. The Technical Project Lead (Project Manager) is responsible for leading IT project teams engaged in the analysis of complex business problems to be solved by software, systems, and data base management (DBM) solutions in a cloud-based environment in the banking, financial services and insurance (BFSI) domain.

    The Technical Project Lead (Project Manager) manages IT projects involving identifying, evaluating, and developing systems and procedures that meet user requirements; creating specifications for systems to meet business requirements; designing details of automated systems; configuring system settings and options; and planning, executing, and managing all facets of Quality Assurance (QA) testing (e.g., user interface, data integrity, and system performance standards). The Technical Project Lead (Project Manager) works in cross-functional team environments and external, client-focused settings using Agile methodology and project management software for project management (PM) and QA. The Technical Project Lead (Project Manager) manages project execution; serves as liaison between business and technical aspects of projects; plans project stages and assesses business implications for each stage; monitors progress to assure deadlines, standards, and cost targets are met; develops project plans for information technology projects including objectives, technologies, systems and information specifications; monitors and establishes project milestones and manages the structure of information technology projects.

    The minimum education and experience required for the position are a Master’s degree in IT, IT project management, engineering, or a related field and 3 years of Quality Assurance and Testing experience, or, alternatively, a Bachelor’s degree in IT, IT project management, engineering, or a related field and 5 years of Quality Assurance and Testing experience. All qualified candidates’ qualifying experience must include at least 2 years working in the financial services/payment processing industry managing, controlling, and coordinating all facets of quality assurance testing (e.g., user interface, data integrity, and system performance standards). All qualified candidates must have at least some experience with/exposure to the following proficiencies/skills: Python, SQL, QA automation tools such as Quick Test Professional (QTP), Control M., HP Performance Center, Tableau, Pivotal Tracker and JIRA, AWS Redshift, Postgres, and Oracle databases, Agile development methodologies, and Web Services. Telecommuting may be permitted, provided the Technical Project Lead (Project Manager) is subject to ongoing travel to the WEX facility in Portland, Maine, approximately every eight weeks for a week of working sessions.
