    You will be responsible for leading a small team of Aggregation Data Maintenance Associates, providing support, guidance, and career mentorship.  You will also work closely with our engineering and product team for guidance, to identify and escalate issues, report potential bugs, and help prioritize work on our systems.  Leadership work will be balanced with individual work on aggregation tickets and projects.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Be passionate about making sure our users get the most out of their job search experience.

    • Manage a team of 4-8 Aggregation Operations Technical Analysts. Mentor them and help develop their skills.

    • Manage the hiring process for your team by identifying skill gaps, needed headcount additions, and leading an interview panel.

    • Plan, assign, coordinate, and review audits and reporting results, providing guidance and assistance to your team as needed.

    • Help define and prioritize team projects.  Update documentation as necessary.

    • Help define and implement team goals and processes.

    • Decipher and apply the HTML/CSS layout of job sites in order to make informed, creative decisions regarding how to capture current and future job data.  

    • Use HTML and CSS selectors to define data aggregation rules using a proprietary UI.

    • Become an expert on Indeed’s aggregation system and provide technical training and mentoring  to users (including new team members) on how to utilize the system most efficiently in terms of both time spent and processing power.

    • Act as an escalation point for technically difficult issues for both internal and external team members (especially junior members) to help diagnose and resolve them.

    • Collaborating with development teams on testing requirements and implementation details.

    • Build and support tools using front end skills (HTML/CSS/JavaScript) and backend development (Python and Java).

    • Report bugs to software developers engineering or contribute to existing bugs reports and contribute product improvement suggestions. Champion bug resolution with product and development teams.

    • Review existing operational processes and identify opportunities for efficiency improvements by building new tools.

    WHO YOU ARE

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    3+ years of relevant professional experience including:

    • Daily utilization of HTML, CSS, XML, Regular Expressions, HTTP and FTP

    • 1-3 years experience with a scripting language (e.g. Python, Bash, Javascript)

    • 1+ year query language experience (SQL, JQL, etc)

    • 1-3 years of people management experience

    • Background in a support or technical operations role or with a consumer-facing web company

    • Experience working within or organizing daily tasks via ticketing systems in a support or operations role.

    • Is comfortable handling a large number of concurrent requests and independently re-prioritizing as necessary

    • Able to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical users. Experience leading training sessions is a plus.

    • Detail-oriented with exceptional follow-up skills

    • Can identify a quick fix but still strive for long-term solutions

    • Inquisitive and eager to learn in a dynamic and fast-paced environment

    • Ability to train and mentor technical and non-technical staff or team members.

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Relevant experience with version control software (e.g. git, svn, etc)

    • Foreign language skills (Spanish, French, German, Japanese, etc)

    • 3+ years of people management experience in a fast-paced technical environment

Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance.
