For most job seekers, looking for a job is stressful, deeply personal, and complex.  The Job Search team’s mission is to create a personal and empowering search experience that matches job seekers with relevant opportunities and helps them discover new possibilities.

The Job Search UX team collaborates with Product Managers, Engineers, and partner design disciplines to deliver solutions to the real-world problems that job seekers and employers face hiring and getting hired. The team is currently responsible for Indeed’s search experience across all platforms.  As a UX Designer on this team, you’ll have the opportunity to design and ship highly impactful features that help people across the world get jobs. 

Responsibilities:

• Partner with Product Management, Engineers, Content Designers, and UX Researchers to drive designs from initial concept to final implementation that meet user and business goals

• Define the UI and interactions for new and existing features for Indeed’s search experience

• Partner with user researchers and content designers to ensure the job seeker’s voice is incorporated into the design process

• Validate and iterate on your designs based on quantitative and qualitative data.

• Understand and articulate the information architecture, workflows, and processes surrounding the user experience

• Supply sketches, wireframes, process flows and prototypes for design discussions

• Apply Indeed’s design language and established design system to the final UI

WHO YOU ARE

• A portfolio that demonstrates strength in visual design and storytelling, and experience designing modern, usable interactions and UIs, highlighting your customer-centered approach to design

• 3+ years professional experience working in product user experience. Bonus points if you've got experience working in an enterprise setting

• A Bachelor’s degree in Human Computer Interaction, Information Design, Graphic Design, or equivalent field required

• Customer-focused, with experience collaborating with UX research or using design research methods to turn customer insights into tangible solutions

• Experience with mobile-first experiences and design systems, with a demonstrated ability to think through end-to-end solutions with a strong user-centered approach

• Basic understanding of WCAG 2.0; experience adhering to AA standards a plus.

SALARY RANGE DISCLAIMER

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Indeed salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Indeed's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include quarterly bonuses, Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), an open Paid Time Off policy, and many region-specific benefits.
