    YOUR JOB

    UX Research internships at Indeed last 12 weeks, during which time you will work with a mentor on any one of several possible product teams learning to translate what you’ve learned in school to real-world research situations intended to deliver measurable success. We are looking for a UX Research Intern who will collaborate with UX researchers to answer stakeholder questions through qualitative and quantitative research. If you are an impeccable organizer and have a knack for building relationships, then this is a role for you. You will recruit and schedule UX research sessions with employers and jobseekers, and you’ll have a hand in defining our research systems and processes. You will help Indeed verify that our products are easy to use, useful, and efficient.

    So what would you be doing? You'd be working with other members of the UX team supporting our Product and Engineering teams, validating new ideas and helping teams answer their questions through qualitative research. We are a small group because we are incredibly picky with who we hire and we don’t spend a lot of time working on things that don’t matter.

    Some of the ways you may support the team include:

    • Validate new designs through ad-hoc user feedback sessions with job seekers

    • Plan and carry out interviews and surveys to inform future product work

    • Relationship building with key stakeholders

    • Collaborate with research coordinators, researchers, and designers to identify the right types of participants needed for UX research projects

    • Collaborate with the team to develop processes and practices to ensure efficiency and effectiveness

    WHO YOU ARE

    About you:

    • Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in User Experience design or a related field such as human-computer interaction design, user interface design, information design, interaction design, or visual design

    • Enrolled in a full time degree program and returning to it after the internship

    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills both in person and by phone

    • Highly organized, with excellent multi-tasking skills to manage multiple projects independently and consistently in a fast-paced environment

    • Able to prioritize when faced with multiple projects or ask for help

    • Experience with research-related tasks in the research project lifecycle such as: creating a test plan, writing a screener, recruiting users, scheduling users, moderating, creating video clip highlights, writing top line results, creating research findings, and effectively presenting and sharing results

    • A portfolio of examples of your work is needed

    • To be considered, candidates must be authorized to work in the US for any employer.
