    YOUR JOB

    As a UX Researcher you’ll work with cross-functional teams that include UX designers, content designers, and product managers to design and execute generative research that informs long-term strategy. You’ll act as an investigative journalist to learn the story behind a user’s experience across our product offering using a variety of methods including evaluative studies, contextual inquiries, surveys, and logged data analysis. As a researcher on the SMB Platform UX team, your work will have broad impact across multiple products, and your users will include internal teams and colleagues as well as Indeed customers. 

    Your primary responsibilities would include:

    • Collaborating with teammates to identify and prioritize research needs within a complex environment that serves the needs of multiple stakeholders

    • Designing, conducting, and analyzing primary research that uncovers insight and solidifies strategic direction, drawing on your substantial experience to create research plans that are methodologically rigorous while meeting business constraints

    • Collaborating closely with other researchers and working cross-functionally with design, product management, content strategy, engineering, and marketing

    • Analyzing complex data sets of both qualitative and quantitative data to recommend clear actions with supporting evidence

    • Driving change through excellent storytelling to communicate research findings that are convincing and actionable for a general audience

    WHO YOU ARE

    A STRONG CANDIDATE FOR THIS ROLE WILL HAVE:

    • 3+ years of hands-on experience conducting custom primary research in an applied research setting (such as user experience, market research, or consumer insights).

    • Flexible approach to research with the ability to determine the right research approach, blend methods when appropriate, and judge the appropriate balance between speed and  methodological rigor for the situation at hand.

    • Self-managing and self-motivating in complex, ambiguous, and fast-paced environments, with regular context-switching and managing multiple projects at different research stages simultaneously.

    • A large mixed-method skillset that includes survey design and analysis, interviews, contextual inquiries, combining qualitative insights with quantitative data sets, and basic statistical analyses. 

    • Experience balancing the needs of multiple stakeholders, balancing user needs with business requirements, and prioritizing research needs and problems to solve.

    • An undergraduate degree or higher in business, social sciences, or a similar field with a quantitative component

    • Project portfolio in technology service environments and researching B2B audiences

Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance.
