    YOUR JOB

    The Vendor Relationship Management Specialist oversees the quality and security controls necessary for third party technology use, negotiate integration / API use with Indeed’s internal Business Platform and Engineering teams, as well as manage the processes by which we communicate changes to our internal business stakeholders.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Role in request for proposal, vendor selection, contract negotiation, and contract renewal process for vendors providing technology used primarily by the Client Success, Sales, and / or Sales and CS Strategy organizations. 

    • Work closely with vendor managers from other areas of Indeed’s business to ensure we are developing consistent and shared views of technology selection and vendor agreements / arrangements. 

    • Advocate for both business stakeholders and the supporting services that will be required for successful selection, implementation, and adoption of vendor technologies. This includes (but is not limited to): procurement / legal / contract consideration, Internal Platform / IT / Engineering support, Product / CRM integration and technical dependencies, Training & Enablement, Business Communications, and long term operational planning. 

    • Consult internally for Product and Engineering teams, ensuring business needs are well understood throughout requirements gathering, development, launch, and adoption

    • Lead initial discovery sessions for all new feature launches

    • Identify key metrics to define user success and own initiatives to increase vendor technology adoption

    • Tailor success metrics to each relevant user cohort or feature deploy as needed

    • Create regular reporting on adoption and user success and hold Indeed partners and vendors teams accountable to those metrics

    • Own Vendor Relationship Management related communications in partnership with Business Communication team, CS / Sales Stakeholders, and Technical Services

    • Own planning of vendor / product driven change management within the business to ensure the successful adoption of vendor management initiatives.

    • Drive all aspects of third party product/feature launches with our internal stakeholders

    • Manage the day-to-day relationship with vendor service providers and serve as an escalation point to Indeed business owners

    • Facilitate the resolution of vendor performance issues, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities that may impact vendor contract compliance and performance.

    • Reconcile actual vendor performance results with the contractual Service Level performance criterion and develop appropriate statistical synopses designed to identify performance gaps.

    • Participate in vendor review meetings with appropriate business partners to communicate vendor performance outcomes, exchange user experience insights, and offer timely input for contractual modification opportunities.

    WHO YOU ARE

    • 3+ Years vendor, project, or program management experience

    • 3+ Years experience tracking service and licensing costs, professional service agreements, and / or performance bound vendor rates

    • 3+ Years establishing and maintaining technical vendor relationships and policies

    • Demonstrated understanding of technology selection business processes and best practices (cost / benefit analysis of business problems, total cost of ownership for technologies, operational planning, etc.)

    • Proven ability to develop meaningful SLAs

    • Previous ownership of complex relationships that include audit processes and the ability to hold internal and external stakeholders accountable for performance

    • Cross-functional multi-tasker able to manage multiple projects across the business 

    • Comfortable interacting with a diverse group of stakeholders with varying technical skills

    • Analytical, with a proven ability to make data-driven decisions

    • Proven experience in building and sustaining productive relationships with third-party business stakeholders, procurement teams, vendor partners,  and other cross functional business groups.

    PREFERENCE:

    • Experience working within or serving client-facing organizations in a marketplace (B2B, B2C) environment: Sales, Client Success, and Sales / CS Strategy teams

    • Contract negotiation skills, legal agreement proficiency, and contract compliance oversight

    • Experience auditing or assessing security and privacy control processes

    • Understand the Vendor Relationship Management operational life cycle and typical challenges within each stage of the life cycle.

    • Experience with large-scale, global technical deployments

    • Experience matrix-managing both internal and external team members part of a key vendor selection or implementation initiative

    • Excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills

    • Proficient in utilizing Google tools (docs, sheets, slides, data studio, etc.)

    • Willingness to travel to Indeed locations, vendor events, and / or training events

    SALARY RANGE DISCLAIMER

    The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Indeed salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance.
