DESCRIPTION JOB LOCATION USA, Louisville, KY JOB POSTING TITLE Video Production Fall Internship

THE CHALLENGE

Be part of a YouTube channel that grew 1,000% in 2020 and is looking to continue growth throughout 2021! FirstBuild is a fast-paced, ever-evolving destination for makers that also innovates new products for GE Appliances. We're looking for an eager, hands-on intern who can help us create compelling YouTube videos that tell FirstBuild's stories. Successful candidates will be able to work up to 20 hours each week. This role will participate in the entire video production process with an emphasis on editing video for YouTube. This Fall internship will run from August 16th to December 3rd and is located in Louisville, KY.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• Work with our on-staff videographer to create amazing, on-brand content for YouTube
• Participate in brainstorming content ideas that drive subscribers
• Edit video into compelling stories
• Shoot video that tells the FirstBuild story

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• PORTFOLIO REQUIRED: please email your YouTube Channel link and/or online portfolio to: campus.recruiting@geappliances.com
• Candidate must be actively enrolled and be in good academic standing in an accredited college or university pursuing a degree in film studies, video production, communication arts technology or related field
• Cumulative GPA greater than or equal to 3.0 out of 4.0
• Experience with video editing software, specifically Premier Pro or DaVinci Resolve
• Experience in shooting and editing compelling video content
• Must be located in the Louisville, KY or the surrounding area. This internship is not eligible for housing benefits nor relocation assistance.
• Reliable transportation to and from work daily is required.
• Unrestricted authorization to work in the United States both now and in the future; GE Appliances will not sponsor applicants for work visas for this position

Most positions are located in Louisville, KY (our Corporate HQ). Assignments are also available in Camden, SC; Decatur, AL; LaFayette, GA; Selmer, TN. Housing and relocation assistance is available for eligible students.
