THE ADVENTURE Be part of a YouTube channel that grew 1,000% in 2020 and is looking to grow even more in the coming year. FirstBuild is a fast-paced, ever-evolving destination for makers that also innovates new products for GE Appliances. We're looking for an eager, hands-on intern who can help us create compelling YouTube videos that tell FirstBuild's stories. Successful candidates will be able to work up to 20 hours each week. This role will participate in the entire video production process with an emphasis on editing video for YouTube.

WHAT YOU WILL LEARN & DO

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• Work with our on-staff videographer to create amazing, on-brand content for YouTube
• Participate in brainstorming content ideas that drive subscribers
• Edit video into compelling stories
• Shoot video that tells the FirstBuild story

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Students only. Must be currently enrolled in a program pursuing a degree in film studies, video production, communication arts technology or related field
• Portfolio required
• Experience with video editing software, specifically Premier Pro or DaVinci Resolve
• Experience in shooting and editing compelling video content

Most positions are located in Louisville, KY (our Corporate HQ). Assignments are also available in Camden, SC; Decatur, AL; LaFayette, GA; Selmer, TN. Housing and relocation assistance is available for eligible students.
