Indeed is hiring a Research Analyst to join our Voice of Customer (VoC) team within the Sales organization. Are you able to weave a story based on large sets of data to convince internal stakeholders of the best course of action? If yes, this role is for you!
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Research Analyst, you will be responsible for the end-to-end creation and delivery of customer experience focused research. You are able to break down complex problems in a simplified way, develop innovative solutions and find creative ways to solve customers’ current and future challenges, articulate recommendations clearly and prescriptively, and effectively handle objections. You can switch seamlessly between big picture thinking and detailed execution.
You will integrate data from multiple quantitative and qualitative data sources, use a variety of analytical methods to uncover unique insights with implications to the business, then craft a story of the data in a way that inspires action. To define the required research, you will also act as a research consultant to business unit leaders by first understanding their business objectives, their key challenges and then helping to define and execute new research that will help better define and quantify the barriers towards meeting their business objectives. This position is best suited for a self-starter with a bias for action as much of the work will be designed, executed and delivered by this role. To be successful, you will have a natural sense of accountability and comfort holding others accountable to executing their portions of the overall project.
RESEARCH & SYNTHESIS
Recommend optimal research methodologies to most effectively meet business goals
Manipulate large datasets from internal and external sources
Synthesize and reconcile insights from various sources (surveys, qualitative, social, etc.)
Identify and synthesize patterns, trends and relationships
Identify new approaches and techniques to analyze, synthesize, and distribute research results
Drive and manage multiple research programs simultaneously
Ensure accuracy of research deliverables
STORYTELLER
Weave together the most impactful messages to tell stories that inspire action by influencing without authority
Leverage visualizations that are creative, yet clear and understandable, and those that provide real insight/value to business stakeholders
Both in traditional deliverables such as Slides, but also via other methods such as online dashboards
Develop high-level messaging, commentary, and recommendations from data
CONSULTANT
Quickly establish close working relationships with individuals across all levels
Strong personal credibility and consulting skills.
Provide actionable recommendations to business units
Present and communicate insights to audiences at all levels
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand research opportunities and prioritize projects for you and the broader VOC research team.
Collaborate with peers within VOC and from other parts of the business to identify connection points and build out a holistic understanding of different user types and their needs and expectations.
WHO YOU ARE
Foundational working knowledge of data visualization tool(s) (Tableau or Looker, etc)
Functional knowledge of SQL
Foundational knowledge of statistics
Comfortable presenting to internal and external parties at all levels
The ability to build out professional, concise and visually appealing decks that combine statistically defensible quantitative data with Voice of Customer stories and and qualitative data to compel action.
Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholder’s strategy by linking customer insights driven business transformation recommendations to stakeholder business objectives to achieve mutual results.
PREFERRED
BA/BS degree and/or equivalent education and experience. Degree in business, analytics, statistics or math, market research, information technology, or related fields. MS strongly desired
Prior work in UX
Prior work in a consulting firm with a customer facing component
Experience with Python

SALARY RANGE DISCLAIMER
The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Indeed salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Indeed's total compensation package for employees.
