    Job Summary and Mission

     

    This job contributes to Starbucks success by ensuring the accurate and timely completion of moderately complex Finance functions requiring full professional competency. Prepares reports and analyses to support decision-making for assigned department. Models and acts in accordance with Starbucks guiding principles.

     

    Summary of Key Responsibilities

     

    Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

    • Manages large data sets, utilizing tools to consolidate data and automate efforts
    • Navigates cross-functionally across the organization to ensure data integrity and accuracy
    • Complete analysis and reporting to support business activities and requests,
    • Produces and maintains documentation on processes and procedures related to accounting processes
    • Provides support to cross-functional teams. Conducts analyses as needed to support project objectives
    • Recommends process improvements, and supports implementation of them
    • Contributes ideas and innovations to improve upon existing systems, work processes and procedures affecting areas of responsibility
    • Researches and responds to questions from customers. Effectively produces ad-hoc reporting and analysis to support the business
    • Participates in other projects and assignments as needed to support the goals of the department. May attend meetings as department representative
    • Creates and maintains reporting that is compliant with company polices.
  • Qualifications

    Summary of Experience

     

    • Finance or other relevant experience at a professional level: 3 years
    • Analytical and problem-solving in a fast-paced environment
    • Data modeling, reporting, and analysis experience required
    • Documented experiences with large data sets
    • Bachelor’s degree

     

    Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

     

    • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing
    • Intermediate level analytical skills
    • Ability to prioritize and document work performed
    • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
    • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and ability to navigate through large data sets
    • Strong attention to detail and a growth mindset
    • Ability to interact effectively at various levels of the organization
    • Experience with data visualization and data aggregation tools (Power Query/Power BI, Alteryx)
