Eligibility: Polen Capital’s intern program is open to rising college or university seniors (graduating in December 2023 or Spring 2024).

Duration: 9 weeks beginning in June 2023. Interns must be able to commit to the full length of the program. All internships are in person, paid, and include housing assistance.

As an Undergraduate Summer Intern, you will:

• Gain hands-on exposure to our asset management business, investment philosophy and process.
• Participate in leadership and skill-based training, speaker series, and firm-wide events alongside full-time employees and fellow Summer Interns.
• Collaborate with team members to produce tangible results on projects that are relevant to the firm.
• Complete a Capstone Project and present results to the firm, in addition to supplemental team project work.

Summer Interns may be considered for full-time roles post-graduation.

Analytics & Technology

• Investment Analytics (Boca Raton, Boston) supports portfolio management and investment research initiatives with statistical, data-driven analyses.
  • Required Skills: Python and SQL, machine learning models, statistics and probability with research on empirical data.
• Client Performance & Reporting (Boca Raton) generates portfolio and performance analytics used by investments, marketing, and distribution teams.
  • Required Skills: Agile methodologies, PowerPoint.
• Business Intelligence (Boca Raton, Boston) supports business management, marketing, and distribution teams by analysing data relevant to growth opportunities, evolving client needs, and strategic positioning.
  • Required Skills: SQL, Python, BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau, Cloud Architecture and services.
• Data & Applications (Boca Raton) develops and manages business application data integrations, descriptive analytics outputs, and the automation which orchestrates these integrations and outputs.
  • Required Skills: Angular, SQL, Python.
• Infrastructure (Boca Raton, Boston) provides end user support, network infrastructure, cybersecurity controls, cloud computing, data backup, business continuity management, and workflow automation & optimization.
  • Required Skills: Programming in Java/Python, familiarity with Terraform or related tools, knowledge of CI/CD applications such as Git, Jenkins.
  • PowerBI, SharePoint, and Information Security coursework experience for certain roles.

Distribution (Boca Raton, Boston, London)

The Distribution team builds and maintains relationships with clients which include Financial Advisors, RIA's, Institutions, and Consultants around the globe, services our clients, and helps to grow our business.

• Required Skills: Written and verbal communication skills, client-oriented (some roles may require Power BI experience).

ESG Investing (Boca Raton, Boston)

The ESG team provides analytics and ratings on equities, embedded within our fundamental analysis on a company’s business model and additional components. Polen engrains honesty, integrity and ethical practices in all aspects of its business. Integrating environmental, social and corporate governance (“ESG”) considerations into our day-to-day operations and business decisions is a foundational piece of that commitment. 

• Required Skills: Demonstrated passion for investing and sustainability, intellectual curiosity, foundational modelling, and valuation skills preferred.

Marketing (Boca Raton, Boston)

The Marketing team guides the firm's strategic marketing initiatives, from our global brand to digital strategy, analytics, and ensures consistent messaging and branding across all internal and external communications, from corporate and product to web and social media.

• Required Skills: Information and web design experience preferred for marketing analytics related roles.
