2024 Masters Summer Internship - Quant Research Analyst - Client Data Science

Internship positions are located at PIMCO’s Newport Beach, CA Headquarters and New York, NY

You’re eligible to apply if you:

• Are studying for a Master of Science degree in Data Science, Statistics, Applied Math, Computer Science, Engineering, Financial Engineering or similar technical discipline with an expected graduation date of Dec 2024 - June 2025
• Have a minimum 3.2 cumulative collegiate grade point average on a 4.0 scale, or equivalent
• Are fluent in English (speaking, reading, writing)

You’ll excel as a Client Data Science Analyst if you:

• Have experience preparing large data sets from multiple sources. Are able to query relational data sets using SQL
• Possess strong problem-solving skills, and the learning agility to adapt to new challenges
• Have self-confidence and superb interpersonal skills to actively build strong relationships
• Possess strong programming skills in Python, Java of C#.
• Have interest in working in a data science role in the financial services industry
• Have the ability to work well independently and in a team environment

See yourself as a Masters Intern, Client Data Science:

The client analytics team produces innovative thought leadership and quantitative research for PIMCO’s clients. You will focus on analyzing client data to create insights that bring investment ideas to clients. You will work with a dynamic, global, growing market leader in a small fun group. Throughout the course of the summer, you’ll have a high level of exposure to the investment management business and will work with cutting edge technologies on new solutions.

PIMCO follows a total compensation approach when rewarding employees which includes a base salary and a discretionary bonus. Base salary is the fixed component of compensation that is determined by core job responsibilities, relevant experience, internal level, and market factors. The discretionary bonus is used to award performance and therefore is determined by company, business, team, and individual performance.

Salary: $ 165,000.00
