For the last 11 years, Capital Group has been implementing a plan to grow our business with Institutions and Financial Intermediaries in 13 strategic markets across Europe , Asia, and U.S. Offshore. This is a unique opportunity to work for one of the world’s largest Asset Managers.
We are currently looking for a highly motivated and dynamic junior salesperson to be a part of our Non-Resident Client (NRC) Financial Intermediaries (FIT) sales team which is currently composed of five experienced Business Development Managers. The NRC market forms a key part of Capital Group’s plan to grow our Global Financial Intermediary distribution business from the current AUM of $50B to $120B over the next 5 years.
This position is an integral and important part of the team. You will work with the Business Development Managers responsible for growing and developing Capital’s intermediary business. You will focus on activity designed to maximize sales opportunities with clients and prospects; specifically setting up and attending meetings, generating leads and working closely with BDMs on pre and post meeting sales generation. The successful candidate will have significant influence on the growth of Capital’s U.S. Offshore business in the years ahead.
The role is based in our Miami office which also houses three Business Development Managers along with a dedicated Country Marketing Manager and a dedicated Portfolio Strategist. We expect the successful candidate to spend part of their induction period in our London office where many of our European Distribution associates are based, spending time with relevant departments (e.g. RFP’s, Marketing, Investment Directors, Investment Professionals etc.)
Primary responsibilities/essential functions:
Target market
U.S. Offshore based Global Financial Intermediaries, Domestic Wealth Managers, Private Banks and Independent Financial Advisory firms
Opportunistic coverage of platforms and other key market participants
Sales process
Daily Activities
Involvement in CG hosted or third - party events as part of our brand-building efforts across the market
Preparing and joining as required by the BDMs for prospecting meetings
Coordination of follow-up items from each meeting including entering high quality call reports into the CRM system, Salesforce.com
Partnering with our Marketing Team in ongoing and ad-hoc projects
Market research on target institutions
Creating fund comparison and portfolio analysis reports
Handling inbound prospect or due diligence requests
Proactively managing and resolving internal issues relating to winning business
Liaison with other teams at Capital as part of the sales cycle (Sales teams in other markets, Investment Directors, Investment Professionals, Data Analysis, Marketing, Client Service, RFP team, IST, Legal etc.)
Internal projects and Departmental participation
Work as part of a collegial team of Sales associates that share ideas and best practices
Work as part of a broader European & Asia Distribution group committed to building Capital’s business globally
Partner with Sales associates in the U.S. domestic business to help service and cross-sell investment solutions for U.S. domiciled end-clients

Bachelor's degree
Fluent in Spanish
Desirable
Demonstrable experience in sales (including cold calling and relationship building)
Experience in producing and executing innovative and creative ideas
International experience. (Travel / Study / Organization)
Salesforce.com knowledge
Morningstar knowledge
Interest in professional education (e.g. CFA, CIMA )
Professional Licenses (e.g., SIE, Series 7, Series 65 or 66)
Miami Base Salary Range: $95,462-$152,739
In addition to a highly competitive base salary, per plan guidelines, restrictions and vesting requirements, you also will be eligible for an individual annual performance bonus, plus Capital’s annual profitability bonus plus a retirement plan where Capital contributes 15% of your eligible earnings.
