The Business Information Specialist will be accountable for managing a broad range of data, analysis and modeling responsibilities across the American Funds Service Group. You will work with cross functional teams to deliver strategic and operational outcomes. You will leverage a combination of research, statistical analysis and forecasting to provide analytical insights and make recommendations to facilitate strategic and operational decisions.

• You will lead discussions with business leaders to define information needs, design solutions and determine appropriate analytic and statistical methodologies.
• You will evaluate business implications of strategic initiatives, service model changes, and /or changes in the market or regulatory environment and present results and lead discussions on options to mitigate risks.
• You will lead collaborative and cross department efforts to build models to frame business conditions and questions and conduct scenario planning.
• You are comfortable working across multiple geographies, functions, and stakeholders.
• You are curious and an excellent problem-solver with the ability to find creative solutions for challenges regarding prioritization, opportunity analysis and communication of results.
• You are a skilled communicator. You place a high value on being authentic, respectful, and engaging and can use insight to influence groups and senior associates.
• You have a solid background with business intelligence, reporting, and data transformation using tools like Excel, SQL and R-studio or Python.

San Antonio Base Salary Range: $85,938-$137,501

Orange County Base Salary Range: $104,573-$167,317

Hampton Roads Base Salary Range: $88,190-$141,104

Indianapolis Base Salary Range: $91,532-$146,451

In addition to a highly competitive base salary, per plan guidelines, restrictions and vesting requirements, you also will be eligible for an individual annual performance bonus, plus Capital’s annual profitability bonus plus a retirement plan where Capital contributes 15% of your eligible earnings.
