As a Content & Data Analyst, you will be a member of Capital Group's broader Marketing department and writing team and will support the production of creative, customized thought leadership content for an audience of financial advisors as part of the Capital Insights team. You will be heavily involved with several our signature insights programs including our semi-annual Outlook report, weekly web articles and monthly webinar series. You will use your strong quantitative skills and knowledge of investments, financial markets and economics to become a go-to resource on the team for data, research, and new content ideas, particularly related to charts and other data visualization. You will attend investment calls, read research notes and stay abreast of industry and market trends to help bring the voice of our investment team to our clients in an easy-to-understand manner. In addition to blog posts and white papers, you will collaborate with the creative team to generate ideas for thought leadership-driven sales campaigns, webinars and the ongoing Insights program. You are excited by the opportunity to assist more senior writers in the research phases of their projects, providing support in copyediting or proofreading, accessing various databases and systems to retrieve current data in order to help update a variety of materials.

I AM THE RIGHT PERSON CAPITAL GROUP IS LOOKING FOR:

• You have a bachelor's degree at a minimum, with an emphasis on economics, finance, statistics, or a related field. MBA and/or a CFA charter are preferred.
• You have strong foundational knowledge of economics, equities, fixed income and the investment industry.
• You can gather, understand and manipulate data in Excel to create charts and tables for communications. Proficiency with investment data and research software (Bloomberg, FactSet, Morningstar Direct, etc.) is strongly preferred.
• You have strong quantitative analysis and written communication skills, including the ability to explain complex concepts using easy-to-understand prose.
• You take a creative approach to solving problems and enjoy brainstorming and pitching ideas to various stakeholders for new content, particularly related to data visualizations.
• You have demonstrated an interest in being part of a marketing and sales organization, and you are eager to learn about our products, marketing strategy and the needs of our audiences.
• You thrive in team settings and look forward to developing a marketing career as a financial writer or content specialist.
