    Corporate Access Specialist - North America

    Capital Group has a Global Corporate Access team of 14 people, with associates based in North America (Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco), London and throughout Asia (Hong Kong, Mumbai, Singapore and Tokyo). The aim of the group is to act as a central point of contact within the firm and the coordinating body for all corporate access events, including bespoke field trips and site visits, sector-specific conferences, road shows and conference calls. This role requires liaising between Capital Group investment teams, corporates, third party IR firms, and sell-side brokers.

    An exciting opportunity has arisen for someone to join the North America team reporting to the North America Manager who in turn reports to the Global Head of Corporate Access. The Corporate Access specialist will be responsible for originating and managing events in the N. America region and allocated sectors. They will also be accountable for the technology solutions that track and record them. S/he will be responsible for the management of access to corporates, experts, and government entities; including on-and off-site meetings, site visits, conference calls, roadshows, investment conferences, and bespoke research trips.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Develop internal relationships with Investment Group associates to understand their investment philosophy and workflow in order to originate events
    • Actively follow sector analysts' responsibilities, meet with companies and to be comfortable recommending new companies for analysts to meet.
    • Act as point of contact with company management teams (CEOs, CFOs, and other C-suite, Investor Relations, etc.) to request and secure meetings for our investment professionals, representing Capital Group in an appropriate and compelling manner, and ensuring a positive user experience
    • Build external relationships with corporate Investor Relations teams and third-party vendors
    • Ability to travel with the investment group to support offsite events and research trips originated; helping to deepen both internal and external relationships
    • Be prepared to manage some logistics associated with corporate access interactions if need be
    • Maintain data related to corporate access engagement and usage rates by investment teams in CorpAxe
    • Work collaboratively with partners across the organization, including Compliance, Meetings & Events, Research Services and Technology to ensure Corporate Access program is fully integrated into the broader Capital Group business
    • Coordinate closely with global corporate access teammates (based in US, London and Asia)

    Qualifications:

    • 5+ years of financial services experience, and ideally, prior experience in Corporate Access, Investor Relations, research or related financial services
    • Knowledge or experience in Tech, Media, Telecom sectors is a plus
    • Strong project/program management skills
    • A passion for Corporate Access and its importance in the investment process
    • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
    • Strong client/customer service orientation
    • Strong judgment and integrity & experience working with sensitive or confidential information
    • High degree of operational efficiency, ability to multi-task, and attention to detail
    • Ability to build strong working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
    • Bachelor's degree required

    San Francisco Base Salary Range: $97,050-$155,280

    In addition to a highly competitive base salary, per plan guidelines, restrictions and vesting requirements, you also will be eligible for an individual annual performance bonus, plus Capital's annual profitability bonus plus a retirement plan where Capital contributes 15% of your eligible earnings.
