    As a Cybersecurity Analyst level III, you will play a critical role in safeguarding Capital Groups digital assets. As the first line of defense against cyber threats, you will detect, assess, and respond to security incidents, ensuring the integrity and confidentiality of our financial data. Your expertise will be pivotal in maintaining the security posture of Capital Group and ensuring compliance with industry-specific regulations.     As a Cybersecurity Analyst level III your responsibilities include:

    • You will actively monitor security alerts and logs to identify potential security incidents within our network and systems.
    • You will prioritize and categorize security incidents based on their severity and potential impact on the organization. You will quickly assess the scope and nature of each incident.
    • You will collaborate with internal teams to implement containment strategies and mitigate security threats effectively. You will ensure that incidents are isolated and prevented from spreading further.
    • You will conduct detailed forensic analysis of security incidents to determine the root cause, the extent of compromise, and any data breaches. You will preserve and document evidence for potential legal or regulatory purposes.
    • You will prepare and deliver clear and concise incident reports to management and relevant stakeholders, including recommendations for remediation and prevention.
    • You will ensure that incident response activities align with the Capital Groups information security policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
    • You will stay up to date with the latest cybersecurity threats and trends by monitoring threat intelligence sources. You will integrate threat intelligence into incident response strategies.
    • You will maintain detailed records of all incident response activities, including actions taken, timelines, and outcomes, for auditing and reporting purposes.
    • You will collaborate with internal teams, including IT, legal, and compliance, to ensure a coordinated response to security incidents.
    • You will conduct post-incident reviews and analysis to identify areas for improvement in incident response procedures and prevention measures.
    • You will contribute to the development and refinement of Capital Group's incident response plans, including tabletop exercises and simulations.
    • You will be available for on-call support to respond to security incidents outside of regular business hours, ensuring continuous protection.

    • You have proficiency in utilizing various security tools and technologies, including SIEM systems, endpoint detection and response (EDR) solutions.
    • You have knowledge of digital forensics tools and techniques for evidence collection and analysis.
    • You have in-depth knowledge of cybersecurity concepts, threat landscape, attack vectors, and malware analysis.
    • You understand network protocols, vulnerabilities, and attack patterns.
    • You have strong familiarity with incident response frameworks and best practices, such as NIST Cybersecurity Framework or the SANS Incident Handling Process.
    • You have excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills to quickly assess and respond to security incidents.
    • You have exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, to convey technical information effectively to non-technical stakeholders and management.
    • You can work collaboratively within cross-functional teams and coordinate efforts during incident response.
    • You can adapt to rapidly changing security threats and incident scenarios.
    • You have strong attention to detail in documenting incident response actions, timelines, and findings.
    • You have a commitment to maintaining the highest ethical standards and confidentiality when handling sensitive data.
    • You have experience with public cloud infrastructure, (AWS, Azure, GCP).
    • You have 3+ years of experience in incident response or a related role (within the financial industry preferred).
    • You have a bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Security, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
    • You hold security related certifications (CISSP, GIAC, CISA, CISM, GCIH), or similar certifications preferred.

    San Antonio Base Salary Range: $96,162-$153,859

    In addition to a highly competitive base salary, per plan guidelines, restrictions and vesting requirements, you also will be eligible for an individual annual performance bonus, plus Capital's annual profitability bonus plus a retirement plan where Capital contributes 15% of your eligible earnings.

    • Temporary positions in Canada and the United States are excluded from the above mentioned compensation and benefit plans.
