In this position, you will play a crucial role in assisting our client group customers in constructing and implementing GenAI-powered applications, fine-tuning, and creating Generative AI models, and aiding customers in harnessing these models to enhance analytics applications. As a Data Engineer III with an agile mindset, you will contribute to the planning, execution, and delivery of critical Gen AI solutions, data products, and pipelines. You will be responsible for building enterprise machine learning systems and data products. Upholding the principle of "you ship it, you own it," you will actively engage in providing and receiving constructive code reviews, as well as taking ownership of outcomes. Your passion for delivering data products and machine learning solutions of an exceptionally high-quality standards will drive business decisions that positively impact the lives of millions of individuals on a day-to-day basis.

• You have a bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• You have 5+ years of experience with agile software development while ensuring disciplined engineering practices are followed with a focus on quality, test driven development, controlled and automated build and releases, code management etc.
• You have experience in at least one modern programming language, such as Python, Java, or Golang.
• You have experience working on a cloud platform like Microsoft Azure Cloud or AWS.
• You are comfortable being hands-on and building & maintaining scalable data pipelines using SQL, DBT, Databricks, Python and Spark. You consistently automate testing for these pipelines.
• You have an experience in backend system architecture patterns and technologies such as modern distributed systems design patterns, microservices, NOSQL databases, RESTful APIs, etc,.
• You have experience working on a Machine Learning Platform, like Databricks ML, Azure AI Studio, Kubeflow and understand the use of a Feature store, Model Management and ML Ops
• You have experience collaborating with the research and development team to design and implement state-of-the-art generative models and algorithms.
• You have experience collecting, processing, and integrating diverse datasets required for training generative AI models, including structured and unstructured data sources.
• You have experience optimizing the generative AI models and associated workflows for improved speed, accuracy, and resource utilization.
• You have experience monitoring the generative AI models' performance, identifying, and resolving issues, and maintaining the overall health and reliability of the systems.
• You have experience working in ambiguous environments and leveraging your strong judgment and technical expertise to deliver impactful solutions that continuously improve over time.
• You stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in Generative AI landscape and contribute to the development of internal standards and best practices.
• You have experience providing mentorship to junior team members, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.

Southern California Base Salary Range: $131,596-$210,554

In addition to a highly competitive base salary, per plan guidelines, restrictions and vesting requirements, you also will be eligible for an individual annual performance bonus, plus Capital's annual profitability bonus plus a retirement plan where Capital contributes 15% of your eligible earnings.
