As a Data Governance Specialist, you'll play a critical role in our team's mission of establishing transparency, enable accountability, and instill trust in our investment management data at Capital Group. Leveraging your expertise in investment data, you'll ensure data is being well understood and governed actively while we develop and ensure successful implementation of data governance strategies across the organization. Every day, you'll serve as thought leader in applying data governance practices and solutions in complex situations. To thrive in this role, you've delivered business value by anticipating future business needs and identifying opportunities to enhance data governance operations and processes.

• You're well versed in data governance practices, including data governance program lifecycles, data stewardship and usage practices, metadata, lineage, and data quality management within the investment management industry.
• You've led large scale projects with a focus on incorporating data governance capabilities in an effort to maintain the health of our end-to-end data supply chain when new solutions are implemented. You work well with and through others, often leading efforts to find a common solution.
• You are a problem solver and are able to frame and execute approaches to address varied business questions.
• You find yourself wondering "what if" often. Your curiosity allows you to consult in a manner that adds value in a variety of settings.
• You take the time to create and maintain meaningful relationships. You're a generous collaborator. You've fine-tuned your communication style to influence a variety of personalities.
• You have advanced knowledge of data management, data catalogs, and reporting tools/applications (e.g. Collibra, AWS, Informatica, Ab Initio, Tableau, Power BI).
