As a Global Risk Management Technology Summer Associate based in Irvine, you will have a unique opportunity to be immersed into a critical function of Capital Group, gaining exposure to internal audit and risk management, and supporting the business and technology areas through various risk management and assessment activities. These include conducting technical assessments and targeted projects which provide an objective perspective of technology risks and controls, performing independent testing of operating effectiveness, and documenting control enhancements and recommendations.

• You’ll perform technology risk and control assessments
• You’ll contribute to various organization risk oversight and reporting responsibilities such as technology issues management
• You’ll have a meaningful project which will have an immediate impact on the business, such as improving the internal control structure, evaluating and streamlining existing processes and assisting to keep Capital efficiently secure.

• You are currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in junior standing (computer science, computer engineering, cyber security a plus)
• You have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above
• You can think independently yet actively contribute in a collaborative environment.

• You have some understanding of risk, controls and project management.
