Polen Capital has three autonomous investment teams that oversee a global equities universe of high-quality growth companies. The Boca Raton-based Large Company Growth team manages three large company strategies: Focus Growth, Global Growth, and International Growth. The Boston-based Small Company Growth team manages three small company strategies: U.S. Small Company Growth, U.S. Small- and Mid-Cap Company Growth, and International Small Company Growth. The London-based Emerging Markets Growth team manages a Global Emerging Markets Growth strategy.

The Marketing team was tasked in 2018 to build brand awareness and strengthen the firm’s market positioning. We support retail, institutional, and non-US distribution channels. The team has now embarked on a strategy to build digital marketing capabilities to drive brand recognition further, engage clients with tailored content and enhance growth.

Position

The Graphic & Web Designer is responsible for in-house creative design and will play a key role in how Polen Capital communicates and expresses its brand visual identity globally. The successful candidate will take established brand guidelines, evolve concepts, innovate when appropriate, and translate design across a wide variety of mediums including print, advertising, branding, collateral, website, and other digital. We seek a team player, creative thinker, and proactive practitioner with an execution-oriented mindset.

Responsibilities

• Primary Graphic & Web Designer for all print, web, multimedia deliverables including, but not limited to, advertising, collateral, website, social media, and other brand-related projects
• Create fresh ideas and innovative designs within an existing style and brand guidelines
• Take ownership of design projects; design page layouts and templates
• Manage the content creation process, which includes the development and production of graphics, animations, static images, collaboration on copy, and external partner relationships
• Produce design assets for use in social media and marketing channels
• Help with maintenance and additions to company website and look for ways to improve user experience
• Develop concepts and designs for a variety of digital and print projects
• Create and maintain a database of design assets
• Offer creative input to meetings and share ideas
• Articulate rationale informally and formally, through brainstorming sessions, creative briefs, and presentations
• Stay current on emerging tools, technologies, and platforms
• Build and maintain strong, positive interpersonal working relationships with marketing team and key business partners to accomplish team and firmwide goals
• Employ strong project management skills and juggle multiple tasks simultaneously, consistently delivering high-quality results

Qualifications

• 5+ years of multidisciplinary experience within branding, advertising, digital, social, experiential, and/or communications
• Srong design portfolio demonstrating expertise in a variety of creative disciplines and deliverables
• Mastery of and proven knowledge of graphic design, typography, layout, iconography, data visualization, photo editing, and color theory and how they function as a system to communicate clearly and define a brand
• Expert knowledge of industry-standard design tools (Adobe Creative Cloud) and Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
• Experience with HTML, Javascript, and CSS
• Awareness of UI/UX principles
• Experience creating animated and static visuals and digital photo editing a plus
• Photography skills an asset; camera equipment available
• Creative thinker able to conceptualize marketing ideas and meet deliverables
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, time-management, and project management acumen
• Demonstrated ability to take a project from concept to launch
• Ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced, results-driven, team-oriented environment

Additionally, the Focus Growth strategy is available as a Collective Investment Trust (CIT) and the International Growth strategy is accessible through SMAs and a Mutual Fund.
