The Investment Risk Research, Analysis, and Measurement team (RAM) acts as an independent observer of investment risks at Capital Group. RAM's primary objectives are to strengthen Capital's risk oversight practices with quantitative investment risk research, measurement, and consultative support to investment oversight groups on topics related to investment risk.

As an analyst in the Investment Risk Research, Analysis, and Measurement team (RAM), you will work in a highly collaborative environment to conduct quantitative investment risk research and perform risk-focused analysis in support of Capital's investment risk oversight bodies, globally across equity, fixed income, and multi-asset portfolios.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Working closely with the Director of RAM and the associates in the RAM team to establish investment risk research and analysis priorities

• Developing quantitative investment risk frameworks tailored to The Capital System TM

• Researching analytical approaches and applying them in support of investment risk oversight reviews

• Ensuring consistent and accurate representation and interpretation of quantitative risk exposures in Capital Group's investment strategies

• Developing thought leadership and expertise on quantitative investment risk topics, including risk modelling, scenario analysis and stress testing

• Contributing as a member of the broader quantitative research and analytics (QRA) effort at Capital Group

• Partnering with other groups including RQS, CAG, and PSM to drive alignment and consistency on risk measurement methodologies and topics

• Engaging with investors to support consistency and fluency on investment risk

• Partnering with internal stakeholders and partners in Global Risk Management (GRM) to ensure relevant guidelines and regulations are incorporated into our risk oversight processes

• Supporting client engagement on risk oversight processes and operations at Capital Group

• Partnering with internal stakeholders and teams, including operations and technology, to participate in the build-out of risk reporting capabilities

• You are a collaborative and credible partner, influencing peers and colleagues on risk concepts

• You are a thought leader, with expertise in quantitative investment risk measurement and analysis across equity, fixed income, and multi-asset portfolios

• You have experience with analytical risk platforms and the ability to research the efficacy of risk models. Knowledge of Blackrock Aladdin and MSCI Barra risk systems is preferred.

• You possess an advanced degree in a quantitative discipline (strongly preferred)

• Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), FRM designation is a plus
