Position

The Senior Data Analyst will be responsible for analyzing and preparing data within Polen Capital’s environment for external client reporting. The ideal candidate has a drive to understand our data, the business, and an ability to communicate complex subjects in a manner that is easily understood by others.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of ad hoc requests from clients and work closely with the team to deliver custom solutions that meet the client's specific data reporting needs
• Develop and maintain Python scripts and applications that support Azure Data Factory (ADF), Azure Storage Explorer, and complex SQL statements in Snowflake, ensuring efficient and reliable data processing and storage
• Work closely with the data warehouse team to analyze, prepare, and export data from the data warehouse to the external client reporting system
• Own month-end data processing, ensuring that the process is completed accurately and on time every month
• Develop and optimize processes for data intake, validation, mining, and data output
• Create and implement quality controls and standards to meet organizational expectations
• Proactively seek opportunities to automate and improve data processes
• Collaborate with all Polen Capital teams to drive discovery and requirements gathering for data management and business analytics efforts
• Gain hands-on experience and exposure to how Polen Capital operates

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics preferred
• 2-4 years professional experience as a Data Analyst; Investment Management experience is strongly preferred
• Ability to gather requirements from business partners and implement solutions to fulfill those requirements
• Proficient in SQL, as well as Market Data Systems such as Bloomberg or FactSet
• Familiar with ETL processes and data warehouse design, including experience with one or more of the following: Microsoft SQL Server, Snowflake, Kimball Methodology, Azure Data Factory, Alteryx, Python
• Experience in an Agile environment and utilizing CI/CD principles
