    ROLE SUMMARY

    You demonstrate an intermediate knowledge level in assigned area and works under direction only as needed. The Short-Term Credit Team provides relevant, quality and timely research and risk analysis on short term issuers in support of Capital Investment Group Services (CIGS) strategic priorities and to enable the CG mission of "Improving people's lives through successful investing." Works independently to conduct research and analysis to evaluate the liquidity and credit risk of money market issuers to build and maintain a strong, well-diversified conviction list of approved issuers and to monitor relevant counterparty developments.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • You understand financial statement/ratio analysis, risk analysis, including the ability to effectively utilize financial models.

    • You demonstrate an intermediate knowledge level in in credit analysis applied to short duration products, specifically money market instruments, and works under direction only as needed.

    • You have a working knowledge of regulatory guidelines and internal guidelines to the investment process.

    • You can conduct research and analysis to evaluate the liquidity and credit risk of money market issuers to build and maintain a strong, well-diversified conviction list of approved issuers.

    • You effectively communicate investment insights and recommendations from fundamental analysis to the Investment Group and relevant committees.

    • You increase analytical depth by taking sector/company/industry views, and actively participating in discussions regarding fund holdings, eligible securities and credit analysis at the semi-monthly Short-Term Investment Compliance and Review (STICR) Committee meetings.

    • You communicate confidently and comfortably with rating agencies, issuers, and the broker dealer community to gather relevant information in support of the research process.

    • You demonstrate a strong commitment to build networks to enable collaborative problem-solving, as a participant and a leader.

    • You can serve as a resource for multiple departments on short term credit or relevant matters as needed.

    • You seek and establishes new collaborative relationships by strengthening formal and informal relationship networks inside and outside the organization.

    • You demonstrate an ability to use the Aladdin Research System and the Aladdin Dashboard to enable trading, publish research and clear operational control rules.

    • You collaborate with Capital's traders and investment group associates to support the research process and identify investment priorities.

    • You effectively utilize quantitative models within the fundamental research process to evaluate credit risk.

    • You operate with an eye toward continuous improvement in the research process.

    • You demonstrate an intermediate knowledge of Capital's policies and practices and the guidelines set forth by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) pertaining to money market investments.

    • You participate in evolving analytical environments to support research and research-driven processes in a collaborative research environment.

    • You are responsible and accountable for risk by openly exchanging ideas and opinions, elevating concerns, and personally following policies and procedures as defined.

    • You can adapt to changes, and manage several assignments simultaneously, setting priorities, meeting deadlines, and working independently within established guidelines.

    • You engage and develop associates as needed.
