    As a Microsoft Modern Workplace Technology (Software) Engineer level III under limited supervision, you will play in a leadership role in ensuring the stability, integrity, and smooth operation of information technology systems that support Capital Group's business functions. You will be responsible for performing or leading in all phases of the product engineering and operation lifecycle. This includes research/strategize, requirements/planning, building/testing, and run/support. You will provide expert-level assistance in operational functions by applying proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to help identify, communicate, and resolve complex issues to minimize outages to critical business functions and maximize the benefit of IT systems investments. You will also be expected to provide guidance and mentoring to less experienced engineers.

    Additional responsibilities include:

    • You will participate in the strategy research and planning efforts within the domain of M365 modern workplace platform.
    • You will research external trends to increase awareness of evolving industry and technology of their peers.
    • You will participate in research of internal improvement opportunities for process re-engineering automation within the domain.
    • You will ensure an up to date understanding of Capital Group businesses and the role the specific technology plays to support underlying business functions.
    • You will ensure up to date understanding of Capital Group technology strategies and roadmaps.
    • You will lead solution initiatives utilizing all aspects of the solution life cycle.
    • You will be responsible for management and feature prioritization of the product/solution.
    • You will contribute to or may lead functional and non-functional requirements analysis.

    • You have at least 5 years of platform administration and/or software engineering experience, being part of a team building applications using any of the following: PowerShell, Graph API, and Azure app service or similar technologies.
    • You can design and implement RESTful APIs using AWS Lambda, API Gateway, and Azure Functions
    • You have experience developing and maintaining data storage solutions using AWS S3, DynamoDB, RDS, Azure Storage, or similar technologies.
    • You have experience with data visualization/data manipulation tools like Tableau, Microsoft PowerBI, Alteryx, etc.
    • You have experience applying best practices for cloud security, performance, and reliability.
    • You are experienced at troubleshooting and resolving issues with the cloud infrastructure and applications.
    • You are experienced at writing clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
    • You have participated in code reviews, testing, and deployment processes.
    • You stay up to date with the latest trends and technologies in cloud computing.
    • You have driven solution design and build execution.
    • You have driven test planning and test execution.
    • You have demonstrated knowledge of software development lifecycle approaches.
    • You have experience in dealing with ambiguity, managing complexity & driving for results, ultimately taking end-to-end ownership of the outcome.

    Southern California Base Salary Range: $116,974-$187,158

    San Antonio Base Salary Range: $96,162-$153,859

    In addition to a highly competitive base salary, per plan guidelines, restrictions and vesting requirements, you also will be eligible for an individual annual performance bonus, plus Capital's annual profitability bonus plus a retirement plan where Capital contributes 15% of your eligible earnings.
