Position Overview:

We are looking for a Trading Assistant to support traders and portfolio managers in daily trade processing and settlements. This position will partner with Portfolio Management, Operations, Risk, Compliance, and IT to support our investment process. This individual will gain direct experience in fixed income trading across multiple sectors.

Main Responsibilities - Trading Assistant:

• Support Credit and Rates teams trading a multitude of asset classes
• Confirm and allocate trades with firm counterparties
• Ticket and Allocate trades among funds/client accounts
• Assist Operations in investigating and resolving settlement issues
• Assist Operations and Compliance with new account and counterparty setup
• Take corrective steps to ensure trades settle in a timely manner
• Monitor market conditions in government bonds, corporates, swaps, futures and FX
• Help Identify and recommend investment opportunities
• Develop expert knowledge of trading platforms & systems
• Assist with evaluation and onboarding of new trading platforms
• Support the implementation and testing of new systems and processes to enhance the investment process
• Work with IT to develop useful tools for portfolio management, reporting and trading analytics

Education, Skills, & Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree
• 2-7 years of relevant work experience
• Strong organizational and analytical skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• SQL and/or R programming a plus, but not required
• Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel
