    "I CAN SUCCEED AS A COMPLIANCE SPECIALIST AT CAPITAL GROUP." As a Compliance Specialist on our Vendor Contracts team, you will be part of the compliance team within Capital Group's legal department. You will review and negotiate vendor contracts (such as non-disclosure agreements, service agreements, software evaluation agreements and related documents such as amendments, schedules or statements of work), draft contract language as needed, identify appropriate issues and risks for discussion or escalation to internal counsel and/or business groups, interpret and advise on contractual provisions and propose solutions, and assist or take the lead in special projects related to vendor contracts or other matters. You will regularly interact with the legal department's compliance team, strategic sourcing associates and other business groups to provide general contract support. To thrive in this role, you have excellent communication and negotiation skills. You have the keen ability to read, analyze, and interpret information. You understand risk, can exercise good judgment, and know when to escalate appropriately. You pride yourself on building meaningful relationships, collaborating and partnering with others and establishing trust.

    • You have previous experience in reviewing, redlining, drafting language and negotiating contracts, either at a law firm or in an in-house legal department.
    • You have a bachelor's degree or a paralegal certificate.
    • You have general knowledge of legal concepts regarding contracts.
    • You can manage competing priorities. You are comfortable when priorities shift, and you manage change with steadfast composure.
    • You are detail-oriented and ensure nothing slips through the cracks.
    • Your background includes plenty of examples of times when you've taken initiative to raise issues, solve problems and get things done.
    • You enjoy working in a fast-paced environment where critical thinking and proactive teamwork is essential for success.
    • You take the time to create and maintain meaningful relationships. You are willing to collaborate, learn from and partner with others. You've fine-tuned your communication style to influence a variety of personalities and be persuasive.
    • You are a skilled communicator. You place a high value on being authentic, respectful, and engaging.
    • You are comfortable leveraging technology to improve efficiency.
