As a Writer within Capital Group, you will be a member of the company’s Participant Outcomes team will help produce creative, customized content designed to engage and motivate retirement plan participants. You will collaborate with team associates to devise and execute on creative strategies that leverage your knowledge of digital marketing and reflect out-of-the-box thinking when it comes to encouraging people to take advantage of their company’s retirement plan. You are ready to use your knowledge of investing to write messages that simplify complex financial concepts and empower people to save for the future. You can manage projects from end-to-end: understanding the audience, developing the story, and working with stakeholders to meet their needs.

I am the right person Capital Group is looking for:

• You have a bachelor’s degree, with an emphasis on marketing, economics, finance, journalism, or a related field.
• You have a foundational understanding of the investment industry and personal finance, and are interested in building on that knowledge.
• You have started to build a portfolio of financial-services or investment-related editorial content that showcases superb writing skills and the ability to distill and synthesize complex ideas into clear prose. Your portfolio samples showcase your creativity.
• You have demonstrated an interest in being part of a marketing and sales organization, and learn about our programs, the marketing strategy for each and the needs of our various participant target audiences. You will use that information to develop and shape your content.
• You thrive in team settings. You have worked previously with stakeholders to develop content and have good interpersonal skills.
• You have an interest and a desire to help people so they can retire with dignity.

Los Angeles Base Salary Range: $99,025-$158,440

In addition to a highly competitive base salary, per plan guidelines, restrictions and vesting requirements, you also will be eligible for an individual annual performance bonus, plus Capital’s annual profitability bonus plus a retirement plan where Capital contributes 15% of your eligible earnings.
