Latham & Watkins, a leading global law firm, is currently seeking a Knowledge Management Lawyer (“KM Lawyer”) specializing in Financial Services Regulatory to join our London office on a 12 month fixed term contract. The KM Lawyer’s responsibilities include the following:
The successful candidate will have a Bachelor of Law degree or its equivalent, comprehensive practicing experience at a leading international law firm in a financial regulatory practice or equivalent experience with a financial services regulator; extensive substantive knowledge of European and UK financial regulatory law; strong communication skills, alongside the abilities to manage time well and prioritize competing demands. The role is well suited to candidates who enjoy the intricacies of the law, enjoy writing and taking the creative lead on thought leadership and the production of client-facing updates and products. Previous experience as a Knowledge Management Lawyer (or Professional Support Lawyer) is not required for the role. Additional requirements include advanced knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite of programs, including Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint; knowledge of Internet and Intranet functionality; high customer service skills; promptly responds to incoming requests and is professional with all patrons; ability to work independently on projects of significant complexity; ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with the appropriate discretion; ability to show initiative and play a leading role in the development of the team.
