So join us* for a unique 12-14 week paid internship that offers personal and professional development, a fun work environment, and community-building!Meet The TeamArgo’s Supplier Industrialization team is responsible for critical component development and qualification activities at suppliers. The job involves communicating well with internal and external teams, traveling to suppliers in different regions, and on-the-spot critical decision making. The goal: delivering on time quantities of high quality component parts into Argo’s production processes to enable extremely rapid development cycles and product launches.What You’ll DoAide in the development of Argo AI’s global supply chain processesWork cross functionally with finance, procurement, and engineering to create should cost models and templatesCreate tools to support our supply chain strategy, and aide in identifying vendors that can best meet Argo AI’s requirements for technology, functionality, cost, and qualityWork with a wide variety of teams within Argo and a wide variety of outside partners during both prototype development and production manufacturingEnsure process control and help to organize teams to mitigate risk. Project Areas : Supplier Quality Assessments and System Implementation Project Owner Plan, direct and conduct industrialization related activities driving supplier to production readinessSupport and improve supplier planning and execution of supplier deliverables related to manufacturing and quality control processesDrive execution actions such as tracking, following, reviews and document control of supplier submissions for our product developmentFacilitate communication and clarification of technical requirements between Suppliers and Argo Purchasing, Quality, and Design teamsGuide suppliers in developing exceptionally robust processes and procedures to promote efficient and seamless production of high quality productsValidate supplier corrective actions involving design and/or process changes to ensure they are robust, sustainable, and implemented for similar potential concerns across manufacturing lines and/or suppliersDriving APQP Workbook updates with directed vendorsSystem Implementation Project Owner What You'll Need To SucceedPursuing a degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics or a related field. Must be enrolled in a full time degree program at the time of the internship and for the semester following the internship (Fall 2022).Minimum 2 years of engineering curriculumInterest in supplier quality management and systemsExperience working with cross functional teams to identify and fix problems Coursework or experience with electrical, mechanical, optical engineeringQuantitative / analytical mindset to probe, test and decompose challenging system problems into root cause issues with strong, detail oriented skills to solve themAbility to serve cross functional rolesKnowledge of quality tools and statistical process control is preferredExcellent teamwork, transparency and communication skills Experience with PPAP/ VDA Automobile qualification process is a plusProfessional and positive communication skills.Previous internship and/or project experience is a plusNote: At this time, Argo AI is only able to support remote internships in the following states: CA, CT, DC, FL, GA, MA, MD, MI, NC, NJ, NY, PA, TX, VA, WA.Our BackgroundArgo AI was founded in 2016 by industry experts with extensive experience building robotic systems for commercial applications.
