As leaders and experts in the business of law, we experience a nerdy excitement from helping General Counsel solve business problems. Axiom is an innovative, market-leading professional services firm in the legal industry. Despite our considerable growth and global presence, we still maintain the integrity of our start up roots.
Axiom has a mix of both business and legal talent—alums of the nation’s best law firms, companies, and schools. And because we’re the only thing like us, positions with Axiom are hard-won.
We help General Counsel solve business problems through three innovative forms of engagement:
Insourcing: Axiom Secondments enable General Counsel to make smart resourcing decisions that reduce fixed investment or an over-reliance on more expensive law firms. These secondments to in-house legal departments range from part to full time, remote to onsite. Our secondees are alums of the best law firms and companies. They're attracted to Axiom because of the opportunity to do sophisticated work for sophisticated companies, operate close to the business client, and determine their own practice architecture.
Projects: Axiom Managed Projects use a process-led, professionally project managed approach to tackle complex contracts projects (from contract collection through assessment, reassignment and renegotiation). Combining the best of law firms (legal expertise) and the Big 4 (real process disciplines and smart technology and tools), we deliver increased quality, transparency and accuracy while simultaneously lowering risk and the always-underestimated burden placed on the internal team. And by lowering factor costs, and increasing productivity, we also happen to dramatically reduce costs, often by 50% or more. Higher quality, lower cost. Yes, it sounds an awful lot like having your cake and eating it too. But for the F100 clients we’re already working with, it’s a reality.
Outsourcing: When our clients need efficiencies across bigger pieces of work, we develop solutions for their largest area of ‘inside’ spend. Specifically, we provide end-to-end management and delivery of complex legal processes like commercial contracts, derivatives agreements and compliance activities. Our multi-person teams — a group that includes technologists, process engineers, management consultants and expert lawyers — take on entire functions for our clients and are on the hook for delivering process efficiencies, hitting SLAs and often for deploying technology.
