Offit Kurman, a dynamic and growing law firm, is currently seeking a Family Law Paralegal for our Hackensack, NJ office.

Ideal candidates will possess five or more years of experience as a paralegal supporting New Jersey matrimonial law. Must be detail oriented and able to work independently. Cases will include very contentious divorce matters.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support attorneys in family law matters, including high-net-worth divorce, custody, and support cases.
• Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and agreements.
• Prepare for hearings, depositions, and mediations.
• Conduct legal research and assist in trial preparation.
• Client intake, interacting with clients, experts, and witnesses.

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of family law paralegal experience in both NJ.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Highly organized with ability to juggle multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office 2017 (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), Internet research skills, document management systems.

Salary: $75,000 - $100,000, commensurate with experience.

The position will require in person for the first 30 days, then hybrid two days a week remote thereafter.
