About the Role

The Global Client Account Services Intern is an integral part of Latham’s Finance & Accounting team. This role will be responsible for maintaining and managing the master billing file for assigned practice offices at the firm, while r eviewing new client matters and validating Conflicts data for accuracy, completeness, and following-up on missing or incomplete data . This role will be located in our Global Services Office, located in downtown Los Angeles. Please note that this role may be eligible for a flexible working schedule that allows for a hybrid and in-office presence.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Other key responsibilities include:

• Evaluating and inputting the appropriate billing and exception rates in to the 3E billing system
• Coordinating with attorneys, legal secretaries, and accounting personnel regarding the receipt of required data, supporting documentation, and approvals in accordance with billing policies and procedures
• Maintaining and managing client and matter accounts, billing files, and record archives
• Maintaining the timely workflow of the new client matters; following-up with the practice offices to ensure all matter maintenance are accurately and timely processed
• Verifying all client master set ups including billing rates and exception rate hierarchies; confirming client arrangements for special rate needs

We’d love to hear from you if you:

• Possess knowledge of basic accounting principles
• Demonstrate the ability to comprehend and accurately perform mathematical functions
• Exhibit analytical skills needed to correctly comprehend and communicate data

And have:

• A High School diploma
• A Bachelor's degree or coursework in Accounting, Business Administration or related field
